~ happy first day of spring ~

warmer days are coming!

I hope you all had a lovely mother's day, however you celebrate it. I made this living spring wreath for my step-mum and then bumped into this little one on my drive home (swipe for a cute surprise).

what a joy to create the flowers for Lewis and Charlie's special day. we love a wedding 😍

long time, no speak 🙊

I took an unplanned hiatus after a busy christmas and new year which allowed me to reflect on the last year and where I see the business going.

as you may know, we are renovating our wee cottage ( ) and have been very busy coordinating tradesman and getting our hands dirty. we are hopeful that 2023 will see the house being finished (minus the kitchen extension).

but whilst we've been focused on the house, it's made me realise how little time and space I have to meet my commitment to F&T.

to commit to my ethos of being fully sustainable means growing my own (and researching nearby growers) and I've come to the conclusion that it's a full time job in itself.. and I already work full time in a job I love!

i've made the decision to step back and focus on curating a productive cutting garden that, come next year, will allow me to return to arranging bountiful bouquets. I will be back to my wreaths and seasonal produce later in the year but in the meantime, i'm looking forward to documenting the process of flipping the garden on here.

T'is the last wreath of the season 🌲 and naturally, it had to be one for my own front door.

It's all a bit of a facade from the front, as behind the door is 101 half finished jobs, a crumbling fireplace blocked up with cardboard and enough random pieces of wood to build a whole second house (well, maybe that's an exaggeration 🤔).

Note to self, reno's are considerably less fun in the height of winter!!

Wishing you all a very merry December!

MERRY SPOOKTOBER 🍂🎃🏵️

It's October, there's a chill in the air... and yesterdays wind and rain knocked half my dahlia and scabious crop over.. so I made a wreath!

We're now properly back in business after a quiet few months spent renovating and studying for exams. But the notebook is out, plans are being made and the cutting garden is nearly ready to be cut and prepped for the 2023 growing season ✂️👩🏻‍🌾

Stay tuned for some exciting news in the weeks ahead!
