Update-
4 weeks left for my body to complete the process of growing an actual human being 😱
I can’t believe how fast the time has gone and what an amazing journey it has been. The body really is an amazing thing!

Keeping it real 🤯

First pregnancy and first time in my life I have been happy to accept weight gain.
What I have learnt about my body throughout this journey has been absolutely mind blowing. Every day is a learning day and I will think twice before I ever moan about my body again. Whilst my previous goals have always related to being aesthetically pleasing, my goal throughout this entire journey and through my breastfeeding journey is purely functional based. Fuelling my body to give my baby the best possible start in life. I have never been so grateful for my level of health and fitness as I believe this has had a massive part to play in the success and ease of this pregnancy.

⚖️ 10kg down- 7kg to go
Weight has stabilised at 3weeks postpartum so time to fix the diet. Focusing on getting steps in, pelvic floors and gentle bodyweight exercises before I head back to the gym.

❌AVOID-
Sit ups
Full front planks
Full push ups
Russian twists
Oblique side bends
Upward dog
Boat pose (v sit)
Heavy weights

✅ Focus on-
Kegel exercises
Pelvic tilts
Glute Bridges
Variations of bodyweight squats
Side lying clams
Knee side plank
Diaphragmatic breathing

⚠️STOP if you feel any pressure in the perineum, experience increase in bleeding, leak urine or f***s, bulging in the abdomen, dizziness, off balance or significant pain.

In my head I genuinely didn’t think I’d changed that much after having the baby.
So happy to see such a difference in my pictures.

21 weeks postnatal now and really happy with where I am at.
It amazes me that my weight in each of these pictures is between 57-58kg and yet the difference is huge!

CURRENT PHYSIQUE- Goal: to get my abs back!
Just because I thought my belly would be ruined forever after having a baby.

So many mums struggle to lose the weight they gain during pregnancy and I fully understand why, your world changes. It’s no longer all about you, you can’t go to the gym when you fancy, sometimes you can’t even go when you plan to because baby isn’t settling tonight. You don’t leave time to cook your meals bcos you’re busy making sure baby has everything s/he needs so you take what’s quick and easy.

So here’s me trying to lead by example, showing you mums it can be done despite all the obstacles!
