2020 related- not recent issue. Don’t be alarmed ❤️
A final plea 🙏 to any of our former customers who came into the cafe between the 5 - 23 March 2020. If you were a regular customer at Tom's Diner or even just a one off visitor, and you had any Covid symptoms, such as loss of taste, cough, runny nose, feeling unwell, high temperature and/or shortness of breath, please get in touch with me. We are still fighting our business interruption insurance claim - 5 years later- and we are still trying to demonstrate that there were people on the premises who had Covid. It was a crazy time, but if you can remember that far back and believe your symptoms were likely to have been Covid, then this will greatly help our case. Hi everyone! I need your help! 🙏 The Court of Appeal has ruled in favour of small businesses affected by COVID, and so our insurers have been instructed to honour their business interruption cover. Which is good news… but…. my lawyers now need evidence that there was Covid ‘at the premises’ during those early days in March 2020. I have one witness statement but apparently this is not enough.
I would be so grateful if you would be able to let me know if there are any other individuals (friends, family, clients, staff) I could contact in view of this. (Yet more hoops to jump through.)
My lawyers have told me that to have an even more persuasive case to the insurer: we need witness statements from any other persons who were on my premises and suffering from Covid between 5th March 2020 – 23rd March 2020.
I know it’s a long time ago, but if you had Covid and may have been in the cafe then, please help me! 🙏 Lucy
