I’ve had no WiFi or 4G for 5 days which is sort of strange and very lovely in these screen dominated times. This is what I’ve been up to!

Photographed a couple of days ago on Daedalus Reef in the southern Red Sea, Egypt. This is an Oceanic White Tip shark swimming through the early morning sun rays. Was lucky enough to to have it check me out around 4-5ft away later in the dive.

They get more curious and confident when there are not many of you in the water. I certainly wouldn’t like to be the last one left in the water to get back on the boat!!

The beams remind me of the code in The Matrix movie!

Taking a break from posting on the ‘Gram just for a few days whilst I recharge my creative juices doing underwater photography in the Southern Red Sea in Egypt doing this!
Going much further south in the Red Sea than I have been before to St John’s Reef in search of the bigger stuff and hopefully if we are very lucky some closeup action with the Oceanic White Tip sharks.

I was honoured to be awarded Best Beginners Portfolio by underwater association Bsoup which means as much to me as my wedding awards. The underwater photographer friends I know produce such incredible work they are a constant inspiration.

Sneaky Peek Alert
One of the best firework displays I’ve seen for a long time at a wedding.

A full 8 minute, 2 song display of exciting gorgeousness at Hedsor House at Lexi & Dave’s wedding last Saturday!

I’m particularly loving the Carousel on the right looking fab all lit up at night

Sneaky Peek Alert!
Incredible wedding at Hedsor House on Saturday for Lexi & Dave. Despite a questionable weather forecast and just a few spots of rain for a few minutes it stayed fine and dry.
It’s the first time I’ve ever had a chance to photograph a full sized carousel at a wedding and the guests and bridal party had so much fun going round on the horses!

‘Too Loud!’

I was going through my archives looking for some different documentary images for a website refresh and came across this capture that made me smile. I think from memory either the choir were singing or the church bells were ringing but these 3 voted with their ears!

Today is the 15th October and would you believe it but it’s only 10 weeks to Christmas Eve!

With all the shops starting to move their Christmas displays out and the big switch on of the London Xmas lights just 3 weeks away I wanted to do a little Xmas post.

I’ve been lucky enough to shoot December weddings all over the UK but one venue for me embodies the Xmas vibe with its roaring fires, subdued lighting and the incredible massive indoor Xmas tree there in the Great Hall. The incredible Cliveden House in Buckinghamshire.

I’m lucky to be there just before Xmas again to shoot the wedding of Lola & Patrick just 4 days before Xmas day.

Can’t you just smell the mulled wine and fire smoke in these two images.

Oh how I LOVE shooting in that magical ‘golden hour’. This incredible light appeared during the wedding breakfast before the speeches started. I said ‘let’s go’ and the couple came out with me and both myself and my fab second photographer captured some gorgeous Golden Hour images from different angles. These were some of my favourite of the whole day as the last sunlight light was so lush and, well GOLDEN!

Autumn is the perfect time to do a family outdoor shoot with your beloved hound (or hounds!).
My studio is on the edge of the Cotswolds not far from Banbury and Chipping Norton and with the autumn colours from late Oct through December and the crisp leaves on the ground I can create the most beautiful family photos outdoors in the fields and woods here and in my studio.
I do these shoots for so many of my past and future wedding couples like Olivier & Charlie, featured here, whose wedding I photographed at Caswell House. If this is something you are interested in or you want more information then please get in touch (contact link in bio).

Sneaky Peek Previews ‼️
What an incredible wedding on Saturday for Ellie & Andy at Hedsor House on one of the sunniest days I can remember this year and a ‘golden hour’ that was just perfect!
With a ceremony at the local church St Nicolas it was a total celebration of love and laughter and even Hedsor’s resident Highland Cows were treated to carrots from the bride & groom!

Stylish, Subtle, Stunning Award Winning Wedding Photography across Oxfordshire, Bucks, Berkshire, London and worldwide. It’s safe to say that I know a thing or two about nuptials. As a wedding photographer with many years’ experience and having photographed well over 450 weddings and numerous designer bridal fashion shoots, as well as being a respected photography industry judge, it’s safe to say that I know my Suzanne Neville from my Jenny Packham, my peep toe from my court, and my birdcage from my cathedral (veils!).

Based on the border of Oxfordshire and Northamptonshire, my award-winning wedding photography business, David Bostock Photography, is the quintessential choice for the discerning and particular bride who wants to create a set of photographs that evoke beauty, fun and a genuine sense of emotional sincerity.

An occasion that affords an expanse of creative licence and the invitation to capture truly unique moments on the most important of days, weddings lend themselves perfectly to my knack for dramatic, beautiful, perfectly-timed photography. My work has been praised as ‘elegant’, ‘exceptional’ and even ‘disarming’, but they say a picture’s worth a thousand words so I’ll let my images do the talking.
