After much thought, I’ve made the difficult decision to close Olive May Floral Design. Over the years, it has been a true privilege to create beautiful arrangements for your special moments, from weddings to celebrations, and everything in between.

To all my incredible clients: Thank you from the bottom of my heart for trusting me with your visions, for your loyalty, and for being part of this journey. Olive May wouldn’t have been what it is without your unwavering support.

I haven't introduced myself on here for a while so I thought I'd do that again.

My name is Michelle and I'm the dreamer behind Olive May.

I spend most of my time cleaning buckets, quoting and flowering up and love every minute of it.

For me, what I do is so much more than just a job, it's something I picture myself doing for years to come because it allows me to be a part of a couples special day and I honestly couldn't imagine doing anything else.

I'm also a wife and fur mum and obsessed with reading, watching live music and raving when I can in my free time.

I’ve been busy planning away in the background for 2025 and totally fell behind with socials.

So let’s restart with a belated happy anniversary to Sally and Andrew who married at the stunning Hazlewood Castle in August last year!

Sally wanted all the bright colours and to use British flowers I think you’d agree they looked absolutely stunning! 🌸

Had the absolute pleasure of flowering up Chelsea and Ryan’s stunning tipi wedding on Saturday, the attention to detail in the tipi was in sane. Using only British flowers supplied by the brilliant Yorkshire Flower Farm which were perfect! Congratulations again to you both and hope you have many,many happy years together! 🤍

💐How to book me as your wedding florist 💐

1. RESEARCH - Take time to look at my social media pages and website to see if you like my style, is it the style you’re envisioning for your big day? Do our values align?

2. BUDGET - Please tell me your budget, this gives me a better understanding if your vision aligns with your budget. I can advise where best to spend your budget if it doesn’t align exactly to make maximum impact, and to reuse where we can.

3. GET IN TOUCH - Once you have done your research and feel like you would like me to be your wedding florist then please do get in touch via the website and fill in as much information as possible, this will help me to see your vision.

4. CONSULTATION - We then have a consultation to further discuss your vision and plans, your floral arrangement wish list and to get a quote.

5. BOOKING ME - Once you’ve let me know your happy with the quote, I then take a booking fee to secure your date (which is deducted from your final balance) you are my sole couple on that date and have my undivided attention.

That’s it you’re booked in, that’s when the fun starts …

The pastel blooms surrounding the cake created a magical, dream-like scene with the meadow of Sweet Peas, Stocks, Roses and Astilbe. The scent and texture of the flowers bestowed the meadow with an ethereal charm.

I'm a bit late to the party watching Season 3 of Bridgerton, but now that I'm all caught up, I had to share a stunning Bridgerton-themed shoot I was involved in last month.

Inspired by the series, I selected a palette of pastels, golds, mauve, and green. The arrangements were rich in texture and filled with delightful scents, capturing the essence of Bridgerton perfectly.

With carefully selected suppliers and a stunning venue, just imagine how your vision could come to life on your special day.

This time last week we’d been at Bagden Hall chatting to lovely Brides and grooms about their upcoming weddings and shared this lovely meadow design. The three things I always try and include when making floral arrangements are Colour, scent and texture. I loved this meadow, the colours just complement each other beautifully along with the scent that came from the stocks and the different textures of the foliage and flower types just makes it a showstopper.
