I had the very special experience of supporting a fellow celebrant delivering a very personal ceremony…it was a beautiful occasion indeed.
What a stunning floral creation too in meaningful Leeds United colours! The ceremonial candle was lit as part of a lovely ritual for mourners to reflect on during the ceremony.

All set up for today’s Wedding Showcase at the fabulous Holiday Inn Barnsley.
Over the years, i have acquired some lovely props and accessories that i can incorporate into my bespoke, personalised ceremonies…but really my product is just me…my creativity…and my performance!

The journey of grief is a long and individual one…

Grief, in its essence, is a profoundly solitary experience.
It's a path we walk where the sound of our own footsteps is louder than the voices of those around us. Each of us grieves for something uniquely ours. No two losses are identical, just as no two loves are the same. This isolation within grief can sometimes feel like a barrier between us and the rest of the world. However, within this solitude, the power of shared grief emerges. When we open ourselves to the stories of others who are navigating their own grief path, we find companionship in our journeys.
This communion doesn't change the uniqueness of our individual pain. It doesn't take it away. Still, it does offer a hand in the darkness, a reminder that while the path we tread is ours alone, we walk it surrounded by the empathy and understanding of those who have also known loss. Sharing our grief doesn't erase the loneliness of it, but it builds bridges across our solitude.
