Save the Sweet Peas
So we went away for a few days last weekend for 4 nights. We left the baby sweet pea seedlings all nicely watered and happy. We came back and I don't know what had happened to them but they had just grown leggy and really long, falling over under their own weight.

Wooohoo we did it! We made it through January!! Well done!
We did dry January up to the 27th as we were going away for Martin ‘s birthday. We managed it but January wasn’t a good month to do it. … Or was it? Perhaps the universe was telling us if you can survive January you can face anything.

Don’t take on too much
Quite often florists receive frantic calls from brides on the day before their wedding panicking as they don’t have the time to complete the designs they had seen on Pinterest or the flowers they had purchased from their local market had died or not opened.
Floristry is a professional skill and a qualification, saving money by doing your own flowers may in fact cost you double in the end. Leave it to the professionals.

Top Tip No 4. Think about your budget and be prepared to be flexible.
Most brides have an idea of what they like, dislike, what they expect. Your florist will aim to achieve all your expectations, but be flexible as your Pinterest dream may not be achievable due to seasonal flowers or indeed your budget.
Whilst it’s always good to have a budget in mind, make sure this is reasonable and reflects the time, skill and passion of your chosen florist. For example, if you are wanting a certain flower, particularly out of season, your budget will need to mirror this.

As promised here is a video of me sowing my Sweet Peas. I have really come out of my comfort zone to do this as I hate being in front of a camera for whatever reason whether it be a photo or a video. Anyway one of my 2022 goals is to bring you more videos. The next step is for me to learn about editing them lol. I can't tell you how many times I started this video and scrapped it.
