I’m getting meself all spruced up (I think the furry leopard Bett Lynch coat is coming out!!!, its a tad chilly!) for the epic City of York 'Roland Walls' Folk Weekend!!
Held indoors and outdoors all weekend it’s a beautiful celebration of music and friends for me. It’s free, there’s great beer and food and loads of folk playing all weekend long, so please join us!
I’m a busy bee MC’ing this afternoon with John Storey and then tomorrow sees a mahoosive three gig day for me…ending with a solo spot from yours truly!!

PENISTONE!!!

pronounced "pennis-stun"

It would seem that to those who have broadband buddy type checkers on their devices deem that the White Sail website references to this most idyllic of locations is deemed unsuitable and therefore blocks the access of the website!

I have therefore removed all references to PENISTONE and even the cheeky hidden link in the HTML code to the ticket link has now gone!

If you would like to check your access to our non shocking website
www.whitesailband.com you would actually be doing us a huge favour if you do have any of these (joking aside...most necessary) bits of software in place.

Now I've caught your attention there is a hidden picture of Chris wearing naught but a cod piece made of real cod.

Our up and coming gigs are as follows :
Sunday 26th May - Cottingham 'SpringFest' - The Cross Keys 4pm
Saturday 1st June - MoJo's Music Cafe - Scarborough - 3pm
Sunday 9th June - City of York (Roland Wall) Folk Weekend 5.55pm
Saturday 15th June - FoxFest 4 with the wonderful Amanda Lehmann - Foxley, Norfolk

😀 😍 😂

Perfect weather for toads, I am actually a toad…
“St. Swithin’s Day, also called St. Swithun’s Day, (July 15), a day on which, according to folklore, the weather for a subsequent period is dictated. In popular belief, if it rains on St. Swithin’s Day, it will rain for 40 days, but if it is fair, 40 days of fair weather will follow. St. Swithin was bishop of Wi******er from 852 to 862. At his request he was buried in the churchyard, where rain and the steps of passersby might fall on his grave. According to legend, after his body was moved inside the cathedral on July 15, 971, a great storm ensued. The first textual evidence for the weather prophecy appears to have come from a 13th- or 14th-century entry in a manuscript at Emmanuel College, Cambridge”
