We have lots of fabulous options to choose from;
we've got two fabulous vintage carts that we hire out for any occasion to be used as a Sweet Cart, buffet table, cake table etc and a commercial size popcorn machine that can be hired with one of the carts, or we can work from a table if the carts are too large for your venue. Our larger cart is a refurbished original market barrow that was used re
gularly on Bishops Stortford market selling fruit and veg. The smaller one is newly refurbished and is ideal for smaller venues, occasions with fewer guests or for childrens parties. It can also be booked together with the larger cart to use as a cake or postbox display? We can provide you and your guests with a trip down memory lane with a selection of traditional sweets (you get to choose your favourites) all served in beautiful cream enamel buckets, vintage glass/crystal bowls, traditional sweet jars or more modern apocathery style glass jars, silver tongs and scoops decorated to coordinate with your colour theme and supervised by attendants dressed in Victorian/Edwardian style outfits or plain balck polo shirts. For those wanting a more vintage feel, we have several sets of sugar nips/tongs and silver spoons that can be used instead of the modern tongs and scoops. the standard package includes us staying there to supervise and help your guests if requested and to maintain helath and safety for 3 hours so your guests have plenty of time to come up and help themselves to a sweet, a bag of sweets, or both it's up to them. The larger cart is quite wide so there is a restriction on the type of venue it can be used for. Outside venues are normally ok if there is a wide access gate, but any venue whether its indoors or outside has to have a minimum of 4 feet access to accommodate the wheels, and a level access ie: it isn't suitable for venues where the reception is upstairs, or where there are lots of steps to get into the venue. Marquees are fine but permission has to be given by the venue to lift up a side wall to access and again when we leave. Both carts have storage cupboards and are fitted with electric lights, so we will need a power supply nearby. The larger one also has fairy lights underneath the valance to add an extra touch of romance. The comercial sized popcorn machine is available for any occasion and can provide for small or large groups of people. We can provide salted, toffee or butter popcorn, all freshly made on the premises. This is becoming very popular for all ages and is a low fat, healthy snack to offer your guests. We will also come to school events, garden parties, birthdays etc.
