Reminiscing about our first print features in and , both from 2020, where we talk about our past grime & ukg parties, the importance of community AAAAAND our very first party with Berghain resident Barker ()! 🔌

It really doesn’t feel like 4/5 years since we first welcomed him to Belfast. He’s become a real staple in our line-ups since that first party in January 2020, his presence now a must-see ticket thanks to his incredible Ostgut Ton & Leisure System techno releases, his Mixmag album of the year winning 'kick-drum absent' electronica, and sets at the best clubs and festivals around the world. 🌎

Next up we’ve invited Berghain resident, frequent Baumecker collaborator and Mixmag album of the year winner Barker () back to for what will be his fourth time playing for us! We’ve developed a nice relationship with him over the years; regularly inviting us to go back-to-back with him for the final hour of his set and always taking us on an incredible sonic journey through techno, bass and his now iconic 'kick-drum absent’ ambient.

The hardware heads out there will be delighted to know he’s packing his machines as he performs a special live-into-DJ set across three hours.

Barker’s debut solo album, ‘Utility’, was released in 2019 and was instantly recognised as a modern electronic music classic. He’s a master at balancing intrinsic sound design with European techno rhythms and weighty UK bass that creates a truly special experience. Anyone who has been to our previous sell-out parties with Barker knows that this is an essential ticket for any music fan.

Plain Sailing regular & Berghain resident (Barker) returns to the following a sold out performance last year!

Known for his experiential live sets that float between banging techno and kick-drum absent ambient, Barker is bringing his hardware along for the ride for a special live-into-DJ set that not to be missed! He’s become something of a staple in our programming over the years, every time getting better than the last, we can’t wait welcome him back to Belfast next month.

As part of our promise to promote a club-night with community at it’s centre, please refrain from taking videos and photos on the dance floor 📵

Don’t forget we have 2 rooms open this Halloween 🎃 🎃 While and .wav look after the club, we’ve got a slew of our favourite Irish selectors in Duality Trax and Free The Night’s (fresh off the back of a label showcase at ADE!), .belfast resident and co-head and .mp3 deep digger .0 looking after things in the intimate surroundings of the committee room.

We always like to curate a different vibe from the club when we open up the committee, so if house music is your thing (in all its shapes and sizes!) then this is the room for you!

On October 31st we’re back in with one of our spookiest line-ups yet! returns after a sold out St Patrick’s Day show with us last year alongside one of our favourite Irish DJs and someone super suited for this sort of warm-up - .wav . Expect everything from techno to bone-breaking bass and sounds from the future!

Objekt has built a reputation as one of the must-see DJs of his generation, uniting a sonically complex passion with danceable electronics in a way that only he can. With releases on Hessle Audio, Leisure System, PAN and now his new label Kapsela, he’s something of a modern epic and someone that gathers a large crowd no matter where in the world he plays thanks to his distinctive and engaging mixing style.

Reger, although still in the early stages of his journey, is developing his own distinct reputation and shares Objekt’s passion for those exciting, left-field turns, often paying little heed to passing trends or fads in favour of deep and tough dancing experiences that keep you glued to the dancefloor.

We also have two more local favourites in .belfast co-head & resident and .mp3 deep-digger .0 taking over room 2 before and legend pulls the curtain on the intimate vibes following a label showcase at this years Amsterdam Dance Event - stacked! 🅱️2️⃣🅱️ number 4! We’ve teamed up two of our most knowledgable selectors in .wav & !

Reger, in a short space of time, has well and truly announced himself to the local circuit. You will no doubt have seen many people donning his Reger x football shirts, and with a sonic knowledge and crisp mixing style well beyond his young years he has all the credentials to back it up. Be it Techno, Percussive Bass, Leftfeld Jazz, Reggae Dub or Classic House, Reger always brings a certain sense of control and class to the table, seamlessly blending between different styles and experiences with ease. Having been featured on NTS and 6Music, and with inspirations spanning Ben UFO, Batu and Call Super, we can’t wait to see what’s in store for this special B2B!

If Reger is reasonably new to the circuit then Conor is part of the furniture. From breaking knuckles at peak time moments in the Bunatee, to playing Panorama Bar & AVA Festival Boiler Room and being the trusted B2B partner of one of our other local faves in Marion Hawkes, Conor has an ear for those classic grooves that a lot contemporary dance music seems to lack, abandoning huge builds and ‘get your phone out’ moments for sounds that keep y out glued to the dancefloor all night long.

With a record collection that would make most selectors green with envy, Conor has become a master at moving through classic House and Techno in a way that only he knows how. He’s without a doubt one of the best party DJs in Ireland and we can’t wait to get him in the booth with Robbie.

🅱️2️⃣🅱️ number 3! and should need to introduction to our regular attendees. We’ve been friendly with Optmst now for years (since we were 17!) and our musical journey in Belfast is one that has been walked hand in hand. From the early days booking artists like Legowelt, Bjarki and Max Cooper to come to Belfast, to Tower St days, to now clocking up releases on R&S and Shall Not Fade and pushing an individual sound of breaks, bass and hyper pop; Optmst has been a staple in our lives since the beginning and we’re stoked to not only call him a fellow contemporary, but also one of our best pals.

Hart played at our first Lavery’s day party earlier this year but was a pal much before that. She’s been pushing a sound that dips through dubstep, 2-step and hip hop, releasing her BAKU EP under her UKG-focused Nyphaea alias in October - a wicked trip through euphoric and nightmarish bass.

Hailing from Sheffield, but having lived in Ireland for a number of years now, we can’t wait to have her back to see what she does in a club setting, and with a never seen before B2B!

🅱️ack-to-🅱️ack number 2! and are no strangers in going dub for dub together. The close friends have done it a number of times throughout Belfast, blending their love for techno, percussive bass and grime into exciting and engaging party experiences.

More Gain held down a residency at 1020.live where we contributed a guest mix in addition to features from Ollie Rant, Timmy Stewart and more. With a musical knowledge that spans well beyond his young years, and a passion for unearthing rare grimey B-sides and forgotten gems, he’s is firmly at the forefront of the next wave of Irish DJs that excite us.

And what can we say about Matheson? We put out a number of his productions as part of our Plain Sailing Debuts series and every time his name pops up in our inbox we never cease to be amazed! His remix of Middler’s Home Port in particular is 100% worth your time. Having also supported Two Shell, Blawan and more in the past, we can’t wait to see what these two come up with on August 31st alongside our other 4 (yes, 4!) B2Bs.

Over the next week or so we’ll be posting a little about each of the B2B’s we have lined up on August 31st - and have been attendees at our parties from early and recently took the plunge into DJing and promoting their own parties through .alsounds bringing one of our favourite past guests back to Belfast in Riz La Teef, alongside a surprise set from Oblig. Not bad for a first party!

There isn’t a huge amount to talk about as they’re at the beginning of their music journey, but we’re so stoked that two women with such enthusiasm for electronic music are putting their heads together to bring the sounds they love to Belfast. The scene can only benefit from it and their hearts are very much in the right place, and with influences spanning Garage, Techno, Breaks and Bass they fit right in!

Rory Gilmore a.k.a has been on a bit of a roll recently! Having only initiated the new alias in the couple years, and despite still only being 19, he’s already chalked up a couple of killer releases on that’s been gathering the attention of , .forever, and others, and he’s just announced his debut Boiler Room at Custom House Sq this September!

Despite his young years he’s been an active part of the electronic music community for time a recent move to London has already seen him play for serious crews like Planet Wax and GODDEZZ. The sky really is the limit for Rory and we’re so excited to welcome one of Ireland’s new-gen artists to show why everyone’s talking about him this Saturday ⛵️

Shake off your brollies and hang up your Arc’teryx because we’re bringing the summer heat so back this bank holiday August 3rd with , and ourselves on the controls; and a whole host of incredible local creatives and traders selling records, vintage clothes, handmade jewellery and art!

We’re super excited to have not one but two artists dishing out sounds of all shapes and sizes from across the House music spectrum in label head-honcho Holly Lester and one of the most exciting emerging producers in the progressive club world in Body Clinic, who has been seriously impressing with a series of killer releases on HARDLINE sounds, one even getting the treatment.

As always the event is free to attend. We’re manifesting sunshine, but if the rain does come we’ll be fully covered in that lovely Laverys’ Shipyard - support your locals and cya in the dance! ⛵️
