node56 10 year anniversary of community events.
1. FreeFall was the official node56 launch party in 2013. It's a multimedia festival with live graffiti, VJing, dance performances and diverse line-up. FreeFall has one for the biggest line-ups for an event in Belper, our biggest line-up being in 2015.
2. Jasper's Jam was the most popular open mic jam nights in Belper and one of the most popular in Derbyshire. Guest musicians placed their names in jam jars, the names were then selected at random to mix ingredients to build-a-band. This jam night was one of the only themed jam nights in Belper.
3. The Sunday Late club was the first well received open mic and acoustic night hosted on a Sunday in Belper. This event started a trend and positive influence for acoustic music in the local area, a lot of other venues and promoters started Sunday open mics and acoustic nights which are still successfully running today.
4. The Rogues Hideout is a small stage hidden away at Bearded Theory festival. node56 run creative workshops and entertainment over the Bank Holiday weekend event. The creative workshops are also part of the award winning Bearded Festival School.
5. The Live Music Lock-up is the most diverse line-up for regular live gigs in Amber Valley. This event series boasts some of the biggest names to play at local pubs in Belper. The eclectic mix of music includes; hiphop, dnb, rock, metal, acoustic, folk, swing, funk, Indie, beatboxing, comedy, 90s dance and much, much more.
6. Busk Stops are a multistage acoustic platform we manage for community events. The most synchronised staged we managed at the same time was ten Busk Stops. These mini-stages are identified with Busk Stop signs modelled on bus stop signs with the a printed buskers line-up.
7. Rocktoberfest was a heavy rock and real ale festival hosted at a local venue. The event was one of the best attended and heaviest annual rock line-ups in Belper. It took inspiration from Oktoberfest with all branding and promotional material printed in English and German.
