This year, I’ve had the honour of planning double the number of weddings and events compared to 2023, including my first destination wedding in Morocco! 🇲🇦✨

I’ve planned double the number of wedding fairs this year, creating even more opportunities for couples to connect with amazing vendors 💕

Sometimes, I have to pause and remind myself just how far I’ve come. What started as a dream when I was 14 years old, has turned into a journey I couldn’t have imagined 🥹.

From the early days of building my business whilst pregnant with my first child at age 24, to now being almost 30 and a proud single mother of two… I can hardly grasp that I’ve doubled my bookings and become a total boss babe! 💪🏾

I have to give all the glory to God 🙏🏾

This milestone represents how much more I have thrived since removing bad energy, staying prayed up and not allowing anyone to crush my dreams 📣 read that again!

This year has been really different for me and my business. I’ve used my business to sponsor a charity and to create work experience for Event Management students wanting to work within this industry. I’ve attended incredible FAM trips and networking events, hosted by Delegate Wranglers, St Tewdrics House and The Meetings Show. I’ve had the chance to network in St Neots, Wales and London with some of the best in the industry.

As if that wasn’t enough, I’m proud to share that I’m a finalist in three categories at The Small Business Awards 2024! 🎉

If I can do it, so can you! Trust in your vision, work hard and chase your dreams 💪🏾.

WOW! Just wow 🥳
Shola Events is a Regional Finalist at The 2024 Wedding Industry Awards (screams in excitement) 💃🏾

Honestly, this is the push I needed right now. I tried to return to work on Monday and it was hard, after the passing of my dad last Tuesday, I’ve struggled to not drop the baton but after receiving the congratulations e-mail from , it reignited that drive in me to keep thriving ❤️. The only way I can really explain this is that this is more than just becoming a finalist for an award show I’ve been dreaming of attending 🥹… this is a reminder that my work as a Wedding Planner is top tier and I truly am a Wedding Planning bestie for my couples 💕

It’s clarification that I made the right choice starting my own planning business and going self-employed

It’s a sign that my dad is my angel looking over me and showing me I’m going in the right direction 🙏🏾

I absolutely have to say a MASSIVE thank you to my clients who voted for me and for literally every single person who supports my business and roots for me ❤️. I always tell you all in the DM’s that your kind words mean the world and I mean it!

My family and friends who absolutely support me and encourage me to the bitter end, no matter what! I’m practically smothered with support my my family and friends and I’m forever grateful for those around me! ❤️

My business strategy coach has absolutely helped take my business to higher heights and still baffles me with how knowledgable and helpful she is each and every time!
