Last weekend saw our highly anticipated Agent Family Fun Day, and it did not disappoint! ☀

We welcomed over 100 guests to our stunning Milton Hill House and the day was packed with excitement!

From fairground rides to a game of (quite competitive) rounders and ending the day with a fireworks display and popcorn! 🎇

The event was a wonderful testament to just how much Milton Hill House can do!

💚 Wearing it green for Mental Health Awareness Week 💚

This year's mental health awareness week has focused on movement and the positive impact it has on our mental well-being.

36% of adults in the UK find it challenging to find the time for physical activity.

To support this initiative, one of our venues, Kents Hill Park Training and Conference Centre, has organised a series of walks for the staff around the beautiful parklands nearby.

Every day at 2:30 pm the group meets and sets off, rain or shine. This is now something they plan to continue doing in the future!

This is just one of many initiatives happening across our venues.

Small changes have big impacts. 💚

The Venues Collection are committed to ensuring a great experience for everyone. We are continually striving to improve the guest experience for all individuals including those with disabilities. Some of the ways our venues currently support this are:

• Menu options for all dietary dining needs
• Large font menus can be printed on the day
• Disabled parking bays, subject to availability
• Accessible toilets in all venues

These may seem like just hygiene factors, but rest assured our venue teams are continually working in the background to improve the inclusivity of their spaces.

One of these ways is through our sister company, Lime Venue Portfolio, who have partnered with Stress Matters, to support guests who are neurodivergent.

The aim is to ensure that their venue members, including The Venues Collection hotels, and event planners using their venues have access to intelligent, professional advice, but also practical solutions on how they can collaborate to best suit the needs of every delegate.

Today is Stop Food Waste Day!🌱🌿

At The Venues Collection, we are committed to reducing our food waste and take significant steps to minimize it.

We believe in using every part of the produce and animal, and we monitor all the waste produced on our premises.

We ensure that 100% of our food waste goes to anaerobic digestion, which produces green gas, and 100% of our used cooking oil goes to produce bio diesel.

Our zero waste policy means that we do not send any waste to landfill. Instead, we reuse, recycle, compost, or send it for energy recovery.

The Venues Collection has already achieved 72% of our £1,000 target support vital funds for Paralympics GB. 👏🏻

The Venues Collection is part of Levy UK&I, who are taking part in a 1,000-mile relay with other teams across the business.

Tomorrow, Joanne Barratt and Lisa Morris alongside over 15 other TVC team members take on part of the relay, walking from Eastwood to Nottingham Forest.

Happy National Gardening Day! 🌿

As part of our Future First Charter we have created a static aerated compost system, which can transform raw organic materials into biologically-stable compost, perfect for growing plants.

Our trial at Eastwood composted 1.5 tonnes of food waste, 0.5 tonnes of paper, and a tonne of garden waste. 👏🏻

We plan to expand this system across all of our venues too. 💚
