A pretty in Pink Gerbera, hand coloured using Pan Pastels...it's one of my favourite, calming, therapeutic parts of bringing the flower to life....the quiet mixing and blending of colours with the smallest paintbrush in the chillest way...😌

Wellllllll Hi!!! I hope everyone is well??!Working on some of these beautiful Eucalyptus branches ready for Christmas workshops!
I'm already loving the Autumnal feels, colours (of course!) I am HUGELY surprised at how mild and warm it still is here! And that's huge coming from a person who is always cold 😬😜.
Silver Dollar and Baby Blue are my favourite varieties of Eucalyptus. Do you have a favourite? This workshop focuses on the Silver Dollar type...but you can also book a double meaning we make both! 🙌🙌🙌

I'm finishing off my Gerbera course, last few loose ends to tie up! If you want to be on the in to (of course you do, why wouldn't you!?! 😂) Message me for all the info on how to sign up to learn with us!! 🫶🙌🫶🙌
But...I'm also finishing off teacher gifts! This Coral Rose being one of them! Every year since my son started reception, as a huge thankyou (because let's face it, teachers and ta's are bloody awesome!) I have made them paper flowers. It's been pretty easy to find out their favourite colour and flower for me to create.....this year was different. Leo is of an age (8) where football is life...like actual life..🤣🫣 so finding out his teachers fave colours and flowers hasn't been the easiest "Mum I forgot!!!"..🙄. I messaged on the class WhatsApp and asked parents to ask their children for help!! Within 20 minutes at school drop off the girls were on it, favourite colours and flowers...boom...mission accomplished!! 🙌🙌🙌
So we had coral, pink and yellow, Sunflowers and Roses & Blue, Hydrangea and Daffodils! Will share over the coming days/weeks!

It's really important to me when making my flowers that all angles look as good as the top view! In my last post we appreciated the bums (🫣😜) today....the legs...and look at the length of this beauty!
We talk about this in my new course and I show you how to make these Gerbera's in different lengths....great for showcasing them in arrangements and bouquets!

A little bit of fun from quite a while ago! But I do spy some flowers in there I've spent a lot of time looking at recently!

In other normal every day news, we in the UK are celebrating our Queens Platinum Jubilee. 70 years in 1 job! That's got to be a world record right!?! I unfortunately have been working these bank holidays....Weddings don't stop for no-one, including the Queen! 😂👑

It’s a foliage kinda day! Who am I kidding, I LOVE making foliage….every day is a foliage day!
In all seriousness though I do take the time to add foliage to all my designs, whether a bouquet, arrangement, single stem flowers or just a hardcore stand on its own, “loud and proud”foliage ensemble! 🙌🏼🙌🏼🙌🏼
What are your thoughts? Team foliage all the way or naaaaa just give me all the flowers!!?

Im sad Daff (Narcsisus) season is over, although I’m happy to see Summer popping up in my garden! I’ve got some EPIC Lilies that have what I can only describe have “exploded” in the last 24hrs. I wish I had bought more! I’ve shared some of and those incredible Lilies, in my stories. Think I will start a new highlight sharing more of what’s growing in my garden to share that inspiration!

I’m revisiting Tulips 🌷!!! The last made were for this bunch. I made them in deep orange and aubergine and loved them from the start 🧡💜.3-4 years later and my skills have grown so I’m challenging myself! This time in rainbow Pastels and a little more frilly and fancypants!!
Centers are done, just working on the petals. Im not convinced yet on the scale and ratio betweenthe centers I’ve made and the petals but it’s the 1st attempt and these things are to be expected and learnt from right!!

Thought I'd actually put me up in these little squares since I haven't for a while! Hello to all my lovely old skool and new skool followers and friends! 👋👋👋👋
I still can't believe that those early days of paper flowers would lead me to finally fulfilling my creative side fully! I've always been "creative" and "artistic" just not at anything in particular. Drawing people...heck no...putting together a colour scheme and doing the decorating in my house, heck yes!
And I certainly can't believe that 50 people have an interest let alone over 5000! So although this post is a hi from me, it's also a great big hug and a thankyou to all of you. 💜
So why don't we get to know each other better? Tell me a "heck no" and a "heck yes" of yours!

A Valentine's gift, her favourite? Yellow Roses. Their friends? A Lisianthus, an Ivory Rose, and coloured, varied foliages. Reminds me that Spring is coming! 🙌🙌🙌🙌👊

We are only 1 month (ish!) away from Blue Hydrangea release day as part of 's Botanical Realism course 🙌🙌🙌🙌🙌
I'm sharing how to make this huge floofy Hydrangea including THAT colour 😍😍😍 That's right people...we are getting our dye onnnnnnnn!! If you've never experimented with crepe on crepe dying come and join my world!
I'm so blown away by the wonderful response already...in my mind I'm going "me? People want to learn from me?"!!! 🤣 Well yes Gemma apparently some do....and to those some I am incredibly greatful and CANNOT wait to see yours!!! 😍😍

Floofy floofy, bouncy, boingy Hydrangea's!!! Hydrangea's are a really sensory flower for me. I can't help but boing them about, cup their gorgeously big mop heads in my hands and admire their incredible structure. As you can see i've been at it with not exactly true to nature colours, but who actually cares...not me!!!
I've been busy preparing my Hydrangea Tutorial for you as part of the Botanical Realism course. It is LIVE on March 1st!! 🙌🙌🙌 If you haven't already pop me a message or comment below to find out more!
