Hello My lovelies,
Deddington was so great! Thank you! My rice pudding, meatballs, and yellowpea soup sold out in the first hour :).
I am so lucky to have such lovely customers.
A lot of you said that you did not realise that Deddington was so close. Deddington is just outside Banbury. Thank you people that came from Princes Risborough, Bicester, Warwick and Aylesbury.
Next moth if you are planning to come and see me please preorder online so that you are not disappointed. There was some disappointed customers and it always make me feel bad.
Next Deddington is on the 22nd of November.

My next market that I am aware of at the moment is Malton, North Yorkshire. Not far from York on the 8th of November.
Cant wait to be back at Malton, such a lovely place.
I am currently looking in to the markets up here in North Yorkshire to see which ones will be a good fit. If you have a suggestion of where you want me to go let me know and I will look in to it.

This is my rice pudding which have made with the same method as a risotto with full fat milk.
Now it's cooled down I have added a small mountain of whipped cream.
I have also added orange zest and orange juice with a little bit of powdered sugar.

Today I am making Yellow Pea Soup forDeddington Farmers' Market
Traditionally Swedes would eat this on a Thursday followed by thin pancakes.

As always I have tweaked this recipe belonging to my Farmor (fathers mother).

I make mine with Yellow peas, onion, carrot, fresh bayleaf, thyme and marjoram.
I caramelise my veg in good rapeseed oil then I add my own vegetable stock, and seasoning.
At the end of cooking I add mustard which gives it a different dimension.
Traditionally the soup would have cooked with a whole ham hock. I have removed this making the soup, healthier and vegan.
Freezes very well and a hug in a bowl when you need something nourishing and super healthy.

Hello My lovelies<

Today is Swedish Meatballs in prepp for .
I make mine from my Mormors (Mothers Mother) recipe, which I have tweaked very slightly.
As you all know, all I think about is how I can make things taste better 🙂
These have pork and beef in equal amounts, onion, surdough breadcrumbs, onion, white pepper, salt and egg. Thats IT 😳. Home made with no added rubbish. I even roll them all by hand.

The cream sauce has, Beefstock, soya sauce, flour and cream. Again, thats IT.

If you are Swedish you have it with mash or boiled potatoes. We are potato obsessed!
If you eat it with boiled potato mash your potato in to the sauce until it is a car crash, then stuff your face. With Lingon if you have or pickled cucumber is always nice on the side.
You never get tired of Swedish meatballs!
Freezes very well and a family favorite.
You can get yours this weekend or online.

Hello my lovelies,
It has been raining here today so I have started my prepp for next Saturday.
I made my version of Ris a la Malta.
It's a Swedish rice pudding.
I make my rice pudding on the stove like a risotto with full fat milk and a bit of salted butter.
When cooled I whisk in whipped double cream, powdered sugar, orange zest and orange juice.
A food hug as the days are getting colder. ❤️🇸🇪
I have also just had a booking for Acomb flourish & feast confirmed.
A lovely market just outside York, North Yorkshire on the 8th of November. Little Bird Markets

Who I am.....

I am a Swedish National that has been living in England for a long time. I have made these very traditional Sandwich Cakes for friends and Family and have now decided to do it for everyone.

Smörgås Tårta is the Swedish food equivalent of Liberace. Smörgås Tårta is eaten at celebrations, such as Midsummer, birthdays, Christenings and more. The basic idea is to make a huge sandwich, cover it with more filling and decorate it, then cut it like a cake and eat it by the slice. These cakes are meant to be served instead of a meal, the portions are large and filling.

Smorgås Tårta also make Swedish meatball meals portioned and ready for the microwave or conventional heating.

Our meatballs are made with pork, beef, egg , bread crumbs, double cream, truffle salt, white pepper and then fried in butter......
