This week we danced 💃🏻🕺🏻 It was the most joyous of celebrations of life. I always try my best to personalise every single service and meet the family wishes for the loss of their loved one. This particular lady had loved to dance, and her family wondered if it was something we could include, and so we did. Everyone in the chapel, up on their feet, enjoying themselves and remembering what a wonderfully happy lady she was. A service that held so much joy and love, it was an absolute honour to lead it. I love my 'job' 🥰

This last week has probably been the most amazing for me as a celebrant, not only have I had the privilege of delivering five services for families that have lost their loved ones, but I also had the honour of supporting my beautiful sister Julie with her wedding to Andy at The Old Marylebone Town Hall ( one hundred weddings in one day ) last Tuesday, and then on Saturday led their Blessing and Celebration service at our family church in Cryers Hill. We lit the venue with candles and fairylights, very much in keeping with their theme, and welcomed nearly 90 people to join the occasion with us. The service was filled with songs, hymns, prayers ( led by the wonderful Rev. Rachael Prince ),tributes and poems, plus a hand fasting ceremony with personalised ribbons as a keepsake. It will be a day and a week I’ll treasure for all time, and a year ago would never have believed this would be my life now. I am so very lucky 💕

What a week, four funerals, three delivered, one attended which marked the end of of an inspirational era for my family and I. The death of an iconic DJ. Meeting with a brilliant independent funeral directors . Planning in earnest now for the wedding season 💒 and also creating a bespoke wedding for a couple entrusting me with not just the service but the whole kit & kaboodle.. even down to decorating the church. Oh, and it was Valentine’s Day, Pancake Day and the final of The Masked Singer 🐟. I wonder what next week has in store 🥰 #
