We are the Parish Church for Easthampstead, Wildridings, Jennett's Park, Great Hollands, and Birch Hill The present Parish Church was rebuilt in 1867.

We are a large and active congregation support a wide range of weekday prayer, study and action groups. Tea, coffee and cakes are available after the main Sunday Eucharist which is at 9:30am. Please join us and when you arrive make yourself known to the clergy or sidespersons. The ethos of the Church is one of traditional worship allied to a liberal and inclusive approach to both social issues and

theology. God has been worshipped on the site of the Church for well over 1000 years. It is an impressive building to which visitors from home and abroad come to see our nineteenth stained glass windows by William Morris and Edward Burne-Jones. The Churchyard is part of the “Living Churchyards” scheme. It supports a range of rare and unusual flora and fauna among which is the Yew Tree, said to be over 1000 years old.

Advent is a season of expectation and preparation, as the Church prepares to celebrate the coming (adventus) of Christ.

Today we lit our first Advent candle to remind us of Abraham, our father in faith, and the patriarchs of old who followed him in search of the Promised Land.

Join us on Sunday at 6pm for one of the year's most dramatic services services. A candlelit procession moves from the darkness to light as words and music help us focus on the Advent themes of light in the darkness and a new relationship with God in Christ.

We will be singing Advent Carols for this service (carols specifically written for advent), and our Christmas Carol service is on the 22 December.

Epiphany blessings for a house, workplace, school and church is a centuries-old tradition that started shortly around the end of the middle ages. Priests would traditionally visit the members of their parish after the Feast of the Epiphany and bless their homes. As parishes grew, the responsibility was transferred over to household members. The Epiphany blessing is a simple blessing written on your door as follows: the first two digits of the year + C + M + B + the last two digits of the new year. So, today, it would look like this: "20 + C + M + B + 24". The "C M B" serves two meanings: - The initials of the wise men. - The first letters of the Latin phrase: Christus mansionem benedicat (May Christ bless the house). So, what do I need? Chalk (extra bonus points if blessed by a priest). What do I do/say? Recite a prayer like this: “Loving God, bless this household and all who enter. May we, and they, be blessed with health, goodness of heart, gentleness, and seek to do your will. We ask this through Christ our Saviour. Amen.” Then chalk the door like this: "20 + C + M + B + 24". This blessing is really a proclamation to anyone who comes by that your home is a home for Christ, and your family continues to serve God.
