We were delighted to be appointed by Bracknell Forest Public Health, to help design and deliver The Great Wellness Exchange 2023 – a brand new community event staged across the borough.

With a focus on self-care, Bracknell Forest Council was looking to support residents with resources and insights to prioritise health, reduce isolation and embrace a happier, more balanced life.

The showcase event provided a taste of what Bracknell Forest has to offer – from health and wellbeing support to free or low-cost, fun activities for all ages.

Last month we celebrated the launch of the Power 50 Green Champions, created by micebook in partnership with isla.

It is the first initiative to showcase the achievements of 50 individuals who are driving sustainable change in the UK events industry, and we were thrilled that our Digital and Sustainability Manager Andy King is named as one of the Champions.

An insights report from the launch day features tips from the Champions focused around five key themes - Clients, Suppliers, Measurement/Certification, Travel and People/Social Impact.

We're out and about in Barcelona this week at with IBTM Events. Project Director, Nikki and Senior Project Manager, Sammi-Jo have had a busy couple of days, completing over 30 supplier meetings between them so far, with another action packed day ahead of them tomorrow.

We are reflecting on the powerful and genuine insights shared by speakers at the recent International Men's Day Webinar hosted by The Diversity Project Team. Each brought a sincere perspective into the conversation, shedding light on how we can actively educate and support our male colleagues in navigating the complexities of mental health.

It was a powerful reminder that fostering open discussions can have a meaningful and lasting impact. If this dialogue helps even one person, we've already created positive change together.

TTA joined global event professionals at Event Tech Live this week which has been taking place at Excel London across the last two days.

Digital Manager, Andy and Digital Project Assistant, Dan had a valuable time brushing up on their knowledge of all the latest advances in event tech. “Key trends across the wider event tech industry for 2023 mirrored that of Cvent Connect, with the addition of Sustainability. AI not only appears to be reducing the cost of events, but also allows for greater accessibility. Looking to the future it seems that AR will move into the spotlight in 2024 with an even greater focus on sustainability and the Metaverse is set to re-emerge in 2025. Let’s watch this space!”

Breast cancer is one of the most common types of cancer globally.

Breast Cancer Awareness Month is a chance to spotlight important breast cancer conversations, increase awareness, raise funds and take action. Early detection can mean a better chance of recovery.

Our charity partner Shine Cancer Support is dedicated to helping young adults with all cancers, including breast cancer. They want every adult in their 20s, 30s and 40s who is diagnosed with cancer to know they’re not alone, and to have the support, knowledge, and confidence to navigate whatever cancer throws their way. Just one day to go to Shine Connect – Reasons to be Hopeful, the flagship conference of our partner Shine Cancer Support, the only UK charity dedicated to supporting young adults with cancer in their 20s, 30s and 40s.

Conference highlights include hearing from Prof Gerard Evan, one of the world’s leading cancer researchers on why he believes we’ve got lots of reasons to be hopeful about the future of cancer treatment.

The virtual and in-person programme (Oct 14th-19th) also features personal stories from young people with cancer and offers sessions on many critical topics from managing anxiety to advocating for yourself.

We have been supporting Shine Cancer Support to deliver this important annual event for six years and are delighted it is back in-person as well as online at last. Good luck to everyone attending and looking forward to seeing you in London tomorrow!

Event management can be stressful. According to the events charity EventWell, one in three event professionals struggle with their mental wellbeing every year.

We recognise these challenges at TTA and prioritise wellbeing in a number of ways. These include training team members to be Mental Health First Aiders; creating wellbeing groups; providing relevant resources; facilitating post-event rest days; and offering professional help through our company healthcare scheme. We continuously review these strategies as we know there is always more to be done.

Your two hands can save a life was a key message delivered to Emma & Charlotte from our project team who took part in a recent Basic Life Support Awareness course ahead of day on 17th October.

Restart a Heart (RSAH) is an annual initiative led by Resuscitation Council UK and other organisations, which aims to increase the number of people surviving out of hospital cardiac arrests.

Thank you to Bracknell BID and South Central Ambulance Service for hosting such an educational and thought provoking course.

Our Project Assistant Sylke, has just returned from an exciting couple days at the M&IT Agency Challenge.

It was such a fantastic opportunity to grow relationships with international suppliers, bond with peers, and hear from experts on key topics such as the latest in event data, understanding the waste journey at events and managing your career as a parent.

Team challenge highlights included testing our skills in product pitching and enjoying a treasure hunt around the great City of Birmingham. Thank you M&IT, it was exceptional!

Watch our team take their last steps after a gruelling 26 mile hike along the Jurassic Coast. After tackling tough hills and walking for nearly 12 hours, there were some very relieved faces at the end!

And just like that, we walked the Jurassic Coast!! Through the sweat, tears, blisters, laughs and one broken shoe, our amazing TTA team completed 26 miles, 42km, and an average of 60,000 steps per person in under 12 hours.
