Wow!!! Charmouth you proved you know how to party 🥳🥳

Thank you all so so much for a staggering turn out with the most we have had in attendance ever! You really did us proud and made all the sweat and tears worth it in the end. A special shout out to everyone and anyone that gave any time, prizes and effort to making this event possible - without you there would be no party!! Please post any photos you took below and you might just make it into the paper 😅

HECK YEAH CHARMOUTH!!!
We have officially gotten to our target of £2,200 this should cover the initial cost of the lights for the village. Charmouth stores are also donating £1,000 from their making a difference campaign so I guess that means we’re going to be shiny for Christmas!

Thank you to every single person who has donated, shared, leaflet dropped and everything inbetween. This was a real community effort and it just shows what an amazing village we have 🥰🥰🎅🏼

All that’s left to do now is find a storage solution, any ideas or offerings of local spaces please let us know.

An incredible amount of money raised at our bingo last night. Some seriously generous donations from local businesses that we are extremely grateful for.
Thank you to everyone that came and supported us and all of our volunteers without them this isn’t possible.

A huge thank you to Charmouth FC for donating a wonderful £100 from their bingo last week. We love to see the community supporting eachother and are so grateful for their kind donation and for everyone that has donated so far.

We’re trying something new!
As you all know Charmouth is normally glistening at Christmas with lights on the shops, businesses and lampposts. In previous years this was always funded by the Charmouth Traders along with local fundraising and charity boxes. Sadly the company we have always used went bust last year and this left next to no time to sort out an alternative.

We have had a quote for £2,250 that would let us buy our own lights and have them professionally installed and removed. The traders will contribute towards this but we need some help.

So this is where you come in! If every resident in the village donated £1 we would be over half way there. We’ve got just over half a year to raise enough money to buy our village some new lights and let’s make Charmouth sparkle again!

What an absolutely incredible day!!

We were so lucky to have had the pleasure of Gerry Graham's Touring Pantos visiting us this Sunday and they put on two epic performances of Cinderella.

We have managed to secure a booking for a fantastic touring pantomime company bringing Cinderella to Charmouth. Two showings on Sunday 3rd of December tickets on sale from local shops very soon.

Update from the events committee,

Unfortunately after much deliberation and difficult decisions we have made the sad choice through no fault of our own to cancel movie nights for the foorseeable future.

This is down to the speaker system being damaged at the hall and this has resulted in us not being able to confidently show movies to a standard we are proud of.

We hope to get this started again in the new year and hope that you all understand.
