Children’s Storytelling Workshops for Children at OneGarden, Stanmer Park Brighton
Introducing our Workshop Hosts -
Sarah Fretwell-Jex & Bunty Clark
Sarah is the founder of future-hub, which was initially set up five years ago, to encourage young people to engage with the natural world and now supports people of all age-groups to express themselves through storytelling in a variety of ways.
She has a masters degree from the Royal College of Art, London and has been working in the realms of education, in one form or another since 1987. She is a passionate environmentalist who has chosen writing as her mode of expression, having written two novels, with a third underway; over twenty children’s stories and a children’s TV series, which is currently being discussed in China. She believes that everyone has a story to tell and that they should be given that opportunity.
Bunty is the scientist in the team with an excellent understanding of Chemistry, Biology and Psychology, who up until August 2021, was working in the NHS.
Since leaving that role, she has deep-dived into the creative side of crochet, embracing her love of colour and setting up her own knitting business. She has her own Etsy store where she sells bespoke and very colourful pieces of her own design for children and adults. This fits in nicely with her work with children in a nursery in Brighton during the week, where she has developed useful insights into how to encourage young creatives to express themselves.
We look forward to meeting you and your little storytellers soon.
