Fat Dads Kitchen is an exiting new commercial venture, which will have its home based in Bristol. With our truly one of a kind converted American School Bus, our team have a wealth of restaurant experience and our aim is simple - to provide you beautiful people with amazing food with emphasis on big, punchy flavours. We will work with and support local growers and suppliers, to help limit the amou

nt of food miles our produce has to make. Our menu with change every few weeks, as we want to keep it interesting for you - so please check our Instagram page for updates. Every meal that we sell will help fund our programmes through our Community Interest Company and we will also run fundraisers for a variety of local charities. So keep your eyes peeled for a list of our future Charitable partners. Additionally to Fat Dads Kitchen, we'll also be operating as Fat Dads Community Kitchen CIC providing a much needed lifeline in the fight against food poverty within Bristol. In the last 3 years, homelessness has increased by 128% meaning people will struggle to access good, nutritious food. Bristol alone has around 26,000 children living in poverty, making it the highest total (around 20%) in the whole of the south west.1 in 30 (3.5%) households within Bristol suffer from severe food insecurity where as more than 1 in 14 (7.3%) experienced moderate to severe food insecurities, figures which we feel are far too high and we, as a whole, should be doing more to address so we will be providing soup kitchens and outreach where possible. On top of this, mental health is on the decline for many and studies have shown that those in the lower social economic classes are much more likely to need help at some point with 73% of those in the lowest income bracket experiencing mental health problems at some point in their lives. The government estimates that 20% of adults will need some form of mental health support following the pandemic and we aim to provide cooking classes, workshops or even just a social hub were people can meet and and bread bread together in order to help combat this. Ultimately, we want to make the bus all inclusive, a kitchen for our community, regardless of colour, creed or religion. So, if you think we can help in anyway not above mentioned, then please feel free to drop us a message.
