So when Im not making foliage bouquets and moving stuff for people in my van I am a festival caterer. I realise this is not van or foliage related, I beg forgiveness if that annoys you....###
SUMMER EVENT AND FESTIVAL WORK
Hi we are event and festival caterers. We are looking for staff to work from the LAST WEEKEND OF MAY UNTIL BEGINNING OF SEPTEMBER. We go to events of all sizes and types.
• The work entails setting up and packing down the unit - carrying heavy gear. Preparing food, washing up, serving customers and cleaning. Catering/kitchen experience is a bonus but not essential as training will be given.
• We work hard but we have fun too. We travel around the country and you need to be available Thursday through to Monday, sometimes longer.
• You’ll need camping gear. You’ll need physical strength, stamina and a sense of humour!
• You need good English, good communication skills, decent maths, common sense and to take pride in what you do.
• WE LEAVE FROM BRISTOL SO YOU NEED TO BE LOCAL.
To be fair this job is not for everyone - It is physically and mentally tiring being on your feet all day/night. Long hours. You need to love sleeping in a tent, a lack of hot showers, mud and sometimes very loud music!
On the plus side you get a wage (starting at £10 an hour), free food and drink and live entertainment during your breaks and off periods and you get to work with a fun, lively team.
