Awesome picture of DJ Vibes at the legendary 'Sanctuary' last night. I've never quite managed to make it to the iconic home of Helter skelter.... Unfortunately the closest that I ever managed to get to achieving this was that I was on my way with some friends going to a Helter Skelter event there in 1997 and unfortunately on the way the car broke down on the motorway not actually too far away. But we still ended up missing the whole event as firstly we had to spend hours trying to track down a recovery truck to pick us up and when we did finally manage to get one. The car was put on the back of the truck. We were bundled into to some seats behind the driver in the front of the truck and we're told because of the breakdown cover my friend had on his car meant they would take us and the car back in the opposite direction that we just came right and all the way back to his home where we started from. Well all these years later I certainly never expected that a Masterravers hoodie with my name on it would get to go there before I ever did 😂. Love it....DJ Vibes....WHAT AN ABSOLUTE FU**ING LEGEND!!!

Wow....what an event that was....I've got so many people to thank for their input last night. I didn't create that event....everybody did. A massive effort by all. First of all a big shout out to Sj Mowling (DJ D-Fi), DJ Taz and Mike Magpie for standing in at such short notice for DJ's who were unavailable. Massive appreciation for the work Dazzer FX and his family did on the door, but also to Damion Selway (MC FUGITIVE) KAYLENE SCAR and Toby Bamford (INTRASPEKT) who all went beyond being performers to help out. Every set last night was awesome but every artist contributed something extra beyond just performing to making things run as well as they could with a seemingly never ending list of issues piling up. Connie Reynaudo (CON-CON) was putting wristbands on people one minute when the door got busy and then smashing out a blinder in the main room ten minutes later. Massive respect to Kurt McLoughlin (DJ KURT) for swapping set times with Kaylene and ShortyK when the option of an early set before a long drive home and being in bed long before a Sunday morning sunrise would have been taken by most. Amazing sets performed by all artists on their Masterravers debuts by James Benney (DJ TANKER), Shane Cookieman Whaley (DJ RSKray) and Kirsti Flannery (SHORTYK) have definitely assured reappearances at future Masterravers events. The final big thank you goes out to the final component in the Masterravers machine that kept the engine going last night and that's the ravers who attended. You guys created an awesome atmosphere and maintained our unblemished 100% record in having incident and trouble free events. Plenty of analysis from this event has been taken and after only our second event back after so many years of being away we are still learning what we can do to improve our events in the future in a scene that has changed significantly in the last decade. This is where Masterravers needs your help. Feedback and suggestions are welcomed by everyone that has been involved with us to date that includes not only the artists but the ravers who have attended. Masterravers started off all those years ago as a collective of artists and ravers who knew what they wanted at Masterravers events and last night that collective ethos has shown it's not shifted one bit. I am going to start to plan the next one over the next couple of weeks and I would like all of you to have an input in via the Masterravers group page on what you wish to see happen or suggestions on what you think could improve peoples experiences of future Masterravers events. After our 2 events back everybody has put in such an amazing effort in re establishing a platform for Masterravers once again and now we have the opportunity to build on that. For Masterravers event 3 I would like all the pieces of the event jigsaw to be created collectively by both artists and ravers and I will try my best to put that jigsaw together so we have an absolutely awesome future event. We aren't just DJ's, MC'c, promoters, producers, performers and ravers.....we ARE Masterravers 🙂

Less than a week to go that Masterravers hits Bristol's Basement 45 again in over a decade. This time we have the one Lethal Theory member we never quite managed to bag the first time around...older Masterravers members will remember Joey Riot joined us on a few occasions alongside MC Enemy but apart from a collaborative event the one that eluded us was the 3rd in the trio....DJ Kurt. Saturday 14th September after so many years overdue DJ Kurt will be rocking the night alongside some more new talent to the Masterravers lineup in DJ's Intraspekt, (D n' B set), ShortyK, Tanker and Rskray, 0ur usual residents like the legend DJ Kaylene Scar, Limpstar, and DJ/MC Angel (who will not only be MC'ing but playing a reverse bass set too). MC Fugitive is back with us again after appearing on our line ups for us many years ago from the first time around. I have also called upon some of the original residents from back in the day to join us again. We welcome back DJ Taz and MC Hoops who were regulars on our flyers and hopefully I can talk them back to being regulars again. Con Con and Ziyad are faces people should recognise now and I've also decided to throw a bit of the unexpected (as I always do) just to change things a bit and keep things unique and this time (and not yet seen before) Kaylene Scar will be B2B ShortyK. These 2 female hardcore DJ's whose résumés couldn't be further apart in, Kaylene, one of worlds pinnacle and most well known female artists with over 2 decades of experience, countless bookings for some of the worlds top tier brands such as Raverbaby, HTID and Unity will be alongside the female Irish DJ ShortyK. She is a fresh out of the box but amazingly talented DJ rapidly getting recognised and moving up the ranks here in the UK and I have no doubt that in 20 years time she will follow in Kaylene's achievements. I've also decided after 12 years of not playing out to dust of my headphones and if there are enough people to play to give people another bonus hour of ShortyK alongside myself at the end of the night and if that wasn't enough, the other original Masterravers frontman DazzerFX will be making his MC debut. This event captures everything Masterravers is known for in bringing together fresh and talented emerging artists alongside and B2B some of the most successful and well known headliners in the scene. Our familiar residents and a few surprises means this event should not be missed. Get your tickets for only £10 here...
