Some recent flowers. Such a privilege to do the flowers for people for their special day! Top left, a beautiful neautral wedding and the rest are of a bright Cyprus wedding with protea and ranunculus as the stars of the show.

It was such a privilege to do the flowers for my beauitful granny's funeral yesterday. She loved pink and I remember her house always having fresh flowers in it. Roses, freesias and helibores which I remember growing in her garden at this time of the year 💕

Why not try making your own wreath this year? The only materials you need are some wire and a wire coat hanger, oh and access to the great outdoors. Follow my simple steps below and do let me see your finished creations.

1. Collect greenery, flower heads, dried grass flowers, berries, twigs (anything that would look pretty in a wreath).

2. Re-shape a coat hanger to make a circle shape.

3. Using wire, attached handfuls of leaves. These will create the base for your wreath so you want it to be about as thick as your wrist. Traditionally one would use moss, but why not use nice, damp leaves from your garden instead?

4. Using the wire again, attach the greenery. Make sure it is lying in the same direction as you attach each piece. Start with a base layer of green and I like to start by doing the outside, then inside and then I do the last layer on top. Once I'm happy, I start to add the interesting bits.

5. Attach a wire loop at the back and hang and enjoy.

(I'm doing this back in Cyprus next week with a few friends and will post their creations. I love how different I know they are going to look as the foliage and plants are so different out there. )

It was an absolute privilege to do this beautiful couple's wedding a couple of weeks ago. And what a setting for it, on the beachin sunny Cyprus.
