Do you love creating with flowers, want to learn more about growing flowers and spend time outdoors with like minded people ? Then read on.....

Join Saffron and Nicole at the Sutton Lodge Flower farm in a series of all things British flowers and sustainable floristry based workshops, immerse yourself in the essence in our flower farm, taking the day to explore, connect with nature, rebalance and refocus for the year ahead.

We will spend the morning foraging, talking through the plans for the flower farm, planting seeds and enjoying the outdoors – so wrap up and bring your boots. We then head to the farmhouse for a homemade lunch and to warm up in front of the aga, before creating a beautiful ‘flat lay’ picture to take home, using the foraged items and a mix of dried flowers, before we finish with the usual tea and cake. Nicole and Saffron will talk you through how they dry and store the flowers and how they use them within their floristry.

This wonderful day is part 1 of a series of ‘Escape and Create’ seasonally inspired workshops, for budding florists, creatives or anyone of any age who just enjoy spending time with flowers and want to learn more about growing seasonal flowers and sustainable floristry.

Within the series, Nicole and Saffron will introduce you to a range of floristry techniques required to create beautiful designs at home and be there to support you during the year both at the workshops and at the end of a phone.

Complete the ‘Escape and Create’ series, with Spring, Summer and Autumn dates.

What an incredible week it’s been here at Sutton Lodge

It’s been a week full of creating, meeting amazing people, flowering and of course cake!

Here at Sutton Lodge we pride ourselves on offering you more than just a workshop, it’s an experience. It’s a chance to learn, relax, take time out & go home feeling inspired for the coming season

This week we’ve been celebrating our beautiful Dahlias, they have done us so proud the last few months & it was one last chance to celebrate this gorgeous flower until next year.

We created amazing hand-tied bouquets, filled vessels & demonstrated how versatile this beautiful bloom is across our table scape

It was a joy to celebrate autumn & a very special birthday with you all….

We can’t wait to welcome you all back to the farm at Christmas for more workshops filled with lots of beautiful bespoke wreaths!!

After 16 months of working collaboratively and deciding pretty much after day one 😂 we are ‘better together’ !! We are so pleased to announce we are rebranding as ‘Sutton Lodge flowers & floristry’

After trading separately as & it feels amazing to finally have one brand and message

Sutton Lodge is our flower patch and the anchor in everything we do, it inspires us to create, it offers us moments of calm & of course challenges us on a daily basis to be better, work harder & continue to grow stronger as florists and growers

We are beyond excited to share with you our new brand, our special place, our Sutton Lodge

We can’t wait to see what the future holds for Sutton Lodge and a massive thank you to everyone that has been a part of the journey so far

We’re super excited to welcome the RABI back to the flower farm, for the second year running this coming Sunday ( 10th September)

From 2-5pm, ticket holders can enjoy a tour of the flower farm, demonstrations, and an opportunity to make your own posy. All enjoyed with tea & homemade cakes!!

Gorgeous spring colours … I saved these ladies from the April showers whilst seed planting and potting on today.

The farm is starting to spring and catch up, the tulips are a little behind, however PYO dates will be available soon.

What a beautiful morning, I just needed to be outside 🌿💚. For those of you who came on our Christmas wreath workshops we talked about wreaths being seasonal and also a reflection of the time of year and how you are feeling. So inspired by the farm around me, a flying trip to Wales to see my creative pals at the stunning home of , followed by a workshop on bridal bouquets to refine our skills at the amazing and hugely talented , and an inspirational and packed weekend of all things British flowers at the annual conference ….it’s time to reflect. So in January we took time to re-energise, reorganise, restructure and prepare for the very exciting year ahead. Nicole and I will shortly be releasing more info with dates for seasonal workshops and PYO, we are also super excited to be working with our brides of 2023.

Happy New Year to all my flowery family, friends and followers … and a huge thank you to all involved for your inspiration, creativity and support, I am taking a couple of days to reflect and restore after a magical Christmas and the incredible 2022 flower farming and floristry year that was, round up pics to follow with exciting plans but for now as the Christmas tree is put to bed and I get my head around ordering cut flower seed … here is a picture of the bare bones of the sleepy flower farm in all its beauty, birds are a plenty …, exciting adventures to come 💚👩‍🌾 💜💐🌱🧡
