We had so much fun with these! 🤩 Not sure if the children preferred the photoshoot or the painting! Well done again Primarters, these really brightened up my day… I love them all!! 🥳

We needed our sunglasses on for this one! 😎 Taking our inspiration from artist Ugo Rondinone we combined his ‘Seven Magic Mountains’ with his ‘Human Nature’ sculptures to create our very own masterpieces!
We carved our boulders from floral foam and then covered each one in modroc. Once dry the children had great fun painting them with a pop of neon and his signature black, white and silver.

The children were really invested in this one and I love how they are all so different ! Well done Primarters, I think they look amazing! 👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻

It’s been a busy few weeks at Primart and the children have been buzzing to see their finished pixel art masterpieces! After they had drawn, rolled and connected each strip it was over to me and my glue gun to assemble! A real collaborative effort and I think they should be very proud… well done guys!

We’ve been feeling very festive at Primart Party over the last few weeks!
The children were really excited to be taking home their clay Xmas trees tonight. They have worked so hard on them and I think the results look fantastic. Well done guys!
We finished the term by creating Japanese Notan style snowflakes looking at positive and negative as an art form. A lovely way to end the term!
Thank you to all the children who have shared their artistic flair with me… you are a very talented bunch!

This week we took our inspiration from the Californian artist Erik Abel. Using chalk pastels we used symmetry and geometric lines to fill our animal outline. The results were bold and colourful…

On Friday we explored shape and colour combinations inspired by the Argentinian artist Graciela Hasper. The children loved matching the colour cube cards to fill their page!

Last weekend I had the pleasure of teaching this lovely bunch of children how to paint a Toucan! Both birthday girls and their friends did an impressive job and should be super proud of their masterpieces! What a talented group of 8-year-olds!

Wow! What a lot of fun we had before half term at Primart Party… we certainly packed a lot in to our Friday sessions!
We learnt all about artist Etel Adnan, creating landscapes in to Leporellos using just 3 lines!
We made clay paintbrush wall plaques, experimented with light and dark elements, used tessellating shapes to explore composition in recycled art week, made our own scratch art and finally had some fun with skeleton collage and chalk pens!
I’ve got lots more exciting ideas planned for this half term and am really looking forward to seeing the children relax and unwind with their friends whilst exploring their creativity.
Can’t wait to get started…
