I'm often asked how I handle online trolls. Given my profession, it's not uncommon for me to receive unkind messages both online and in person, with some individuals taunting me for being a magician.

So, how do I cope with this? My approach is simple: I ask, "Are you doing okay?"

It's my belief that people usually aren't hurtful without reason, and I want them to know I'm here if they need someone to talk to.

"Are you having a tough day?" I ask.

I also provide a list of resources that can be of assistance if they're going through a challenging time.

People's actions often reflect their inner feelings, and I don't take the insults personally because I believe they aren't truly about me. Instead, I ask how I can be of help.

I'm sharing this in case it may assist someone else dealing with a similar situation. ❤️
