Yesterday morning this happened! Sixty afternoon tea boxes were ready to be collected from 9.30am. As you can imagine, it takes a lot of time to get these boxes made up, lined and allergen labels filled out and stuck in. Then the sandwiches to make and wrap up, Victoria sponges to cut and fill. Plus all the making and baking of homemade sausage rolls, cheese and onion tarts, scones, brownies and lemon cakes. Suffice to say there wasn’t much sleep Friday night getting this lot together!! Then straight off to work a seven hour day on an event. My feet were wrecked last night. As was I!! But a very happy client. That’s what counts. Whilst setting up yesterday we had the treat of listening to the band warming up by doing a whole set virtually! Thought they were amazing. And local. They are called Gold Beat Band and I wanted to show them a little bit of love on here. Yesterday I was lucky enough to work at @sedwickparkhouse. What an amazing old house! Later in the day we had the opportunity to be shown round the bedrooms - what a treasure trove it was! Furniture from the art deco era in immaculate condition in all nine (or was it eleven?) bedrooms. It even had its own bell tower! Just stunning. And in one bedroom was this wind up record player 🎶. In full working order. What a privilege to be able to work in such a fabulous house. This job certainly gives us access to some of the best places!

Fabulous day off and lunch @theritzlondon yesterday. The hotel was beautifully decorated and the food was excellent. Add some shopping, Christmas lights and a rooftop bar for drinks after and you have the recipe for a wonderful day off!
