It’s impossible to share a lifetime of memories in a eulogy but i strive to convey how your loved one made you feel.
Next up of the 2024 wedding tour is an intimate ceremony at the beautiful ten bedroom house it’s going to a really special day for J&G as they say their “I do’s” in front of their nearest and dearest.

Starting off the week sharing some heartfelt words a family sent to me. It’s so important to me that every detail of a funeral is carefully considered. We don’t get a rehearsal of such a significant event in your lives. Getting it right on the day is crucial to processing grief.
So delighted to be officiating a ceremony at St Mary’s later on this year! What a breathtaking venue this is 🤍 If you are visiting the Cotswolds, Sudeley Castle in Winchcombe is such a special place to visit. From their spectacular castle and garden tours to Christmas for their Spectacle of Light. It’s not just a wedding venue, it’s a lovely day out. Be sure to visit their cafe, whilst taking in the grounds.
Wedding trends, how much attention do you pay? I’m intrigued to know because obviously I’m aware of what’s hot right now (ahem…celebrants!) but I rarely follow what’s popular. To be honest, when I write ceremonies, all I really care about is what’s fundamental to who you are. You chose your flowers because it’s what he bought you on your first date, or your drinks reception is fuelled by Aperol spritz because neither of you actually enjoy champagne? Fab! Wedding days are so much more meaningful when you are true to you are.
This is my team 🤍 I wouldn’t get to run my business like I do without three very special people. Anyone with a young family knows the struggle with the juggle but I’m so proud of what we achieve week in week out. The kids inspire us to do better and make them proud. My husband (aka tech support) has my back no matter what. Right back to business and enough of the soppy s***…oh wait, I’m writing a wedding today 🥰
Indoor or outdoor ceremonies? When the British weather is kind to us aren’t the bright sunny days just the best? There are many pros and cons to an outdoor ceremony and your venue can usually support you with last minute change of plan should the weather switch. Timing is everything and nothing beats that golden hour glow ☀️
Happy Friday! Let’s talk baby naming ceremonies…mainly because I’ve just received some gorgeous shots from my daughter’s first birthday and it’s got me thinking…I’ve already written a naming ceremony for my girls but I don’t think I’ve got the nerve to deliver it myself! Do you want to formally welcome your children in to your family and honouring them coming in to your lives? What a better excuse for a celebration? Get in touch! Reading the one I wrote for my girls brought me to tears 🥺
Thanks to the amazing for capturing some of the most beautiful shots of our daughter’s over the years. You are so talented 🤍
Traditional elements or a ceremony with a twist. I’ll bring your vision of your dream wedding to life.

What a privilege it was to learn about auntie P’s life. We reunited her with her beloved R after 30 years apart 🤍
Happy Monday everyone! How are we in November? I won’t lie, my posting schedule has been sporadic lately. Two little girlies keep me busy and my work for the families I am supporting comes first so the sparkle of social media has taken a back seat to the hard graft. This week is a busy one full of families saying farewell, meeting new families and exploration calls for weddings in 2025! And to round things off, the hubby and I are going on our first date night out since having the littlest Butler 👏🏻 have a great week all ###
Behind the testimonial. P’s celebration of life service encapsulated everything he stood for and what an inspiring person he was. A motorcycle hearse leading a convoy of over 100 motorcycle enthusiasts. 12 standard bearers and a bugler delivering the last post. Family and friends linking arms, dancing and singing proudly in the chapel. The poppy appeal and the Royal British Legion meant so much to him and he raised so much awareness in his life. I’ll be wearing my poppy with pride in November.
Gloucester crematorium reopened yesterday after a much needed refurbishment. The softer sage green fabrics are a great improvement with a voile curtain introduced as an option to close. There’s a rather lovely lectern complimenting the new catafalque. Doesn’t the chapel look calm and peaceful?

Well autumn is most definitely upon us isn’t it? Nights are much cooler and those beautiful sunny days when it’s fresh and crisp are so good for the soul. Who’s embracing cosy nights in, hot drinks and a warm blanket 🙋🏼♀️🍁🍂
Isn’t this the most incredible wedding dress? I had the privilege of officiating X and Y’s wedding ceremony . The reveal of her wedding dress was a breathtaking moment.
Happy Monday everyone! I’m taking a little break from work to spend some quality time with my family. September has been a very special month. I have met some inspirational people, worked with the best local businesses and going in to autumn feeling so lucky.
It’s my favourite time of year so I’m off to embrace some spookiness! 🎃
Come find me in the chapel to chat about your wedding ceremony There might be chocolate and booze to sweeten the deal 🤣

Wonderful feedback from a beautiful family I had the pleasure of supporting a few weeks back.
This Sunday (24th September) I’ll be heading to Open Day to chat all things wedding ceremony! If you are free, pop along for mimosas, pizza lunch and canapés. Come find me and we can talk about your personal and meaningful wedding ceremony 🤍
Funerals can be wonderful! You are allowed to feel joy, pride, satisfaction, amusement, hope.
It was a real privilege to meet this wonderful family.
Thank you for trusting me on Dad's special day. He really was one in a million.
Okay, let’s talk funerals and celebration of life ceremonies because let’s face it, most people avoid the subject. It’s not as scary as it sounds. Do you ever talk about what you would like to happen should that day ever come? If you are a next of kin, do you know your loved ones wishes? Approaching this topic can be awkward. Not knowing can be a bit like trying to bake a cake without a recipe. You don’t know the quantities, flavour, size and the outcome might be something you didn’t really hope for.
My friends over at might have some useful tips to help you talk about death.
When I go, I want everyone to have a huge party (Halloween outfits optional ha!), drink red wine, eat good food and laugh. Doesn’t sound depressing does it? Have the chat!

A few weeks back I was lucky enough to work with the wonderful James and Faye from @mygoodbyesapp to create some video content about celebrants and what they can offer their clients. @mygoodbyesapp is an app to help people talk about dying and to make those conversations at little easier.
