What a week it’s been at The Yarnery!

Thank you SO much to everyone that came in to enjoy The Yarnstravaganza this week, for those that entered the raffle, took advantage of our discounts and spread the word about your local yarn shop.

We had to close for the day this Saturday and to make up for it we’re going to honour the last day of The Yarnstravaganza on Saturday 11th October with the same discounts but there will be a TWIST just for fun. The first THREE customers to come in and buy yarn, hooks, needles et al will receive a FREE ball of Stylecraft Yarns festive yarn and a stocking pattern (knitting or crochet - your choice!) Doors open at 10:30

I know it’s a while to wait, but I’ll draw the raffle winners on Saturday too so more of you can watch live!

Fear not my yarny pals! Today is the last day of this year’s Yarnstravaganza and we plan go to out with a bang. Until 4pm today you can enjoy 15% off all King Cole, James C. Brett, Cygnet and Stylecraft yarns at The Yarnery (20% for Hooking Good members)

There’s still time to enter our raffle to win yourself a The Yarnery ball sack full of yarn, one of our wonderful limited edition totes of Cygnet yarns, a set of Clover amour crochet hooks or Knitpro interchangeable knitting needles. Who’s got their Christmas list ready?

The Yarnery is ready to help you with your festive makes now so that you can have all of your ends sewn in, buttons attached and gifts wrapped before the big day.

This is just some of the gloriousness that has landed in the shop recently from Cygnet Yarns Ltd, King Cole and Stylecraft Yarns. There’s more in store and there’s more on the way!

We have patterns for the entire nativity as well stocking and sock patterns to knit and crochet.

Have you made anything with the brand new colours in Emotions by James C. Brett yet?

This beautiful dk yarn comes in 150g balls and as with most Brett’s yarn is wound loosely so that it can breath and maintain it’s glorious bounce. I can’t wait to see more of your knits and wips - I’ve made three reorders so far so I’m expecting to see lots of you drifting round like autumn on legs very soon! 🧶

Another fantastic day at the yarn shop! The ‘Stravaganza has been so wonderful so far. Meeting so many of you and sharing yarny joy is really making this venture worthwhile.

Today we had a lovely crochet group with Hooking Good and welcomed some new knitters to Afternoon Purlers after lunch and I got to spend the evening with even more Hookers at our night time crochet class.

I had tried to film a “Welcome to The Yarnery” post this morning but I couldn’t upload it because as my dear friend, Emily, would say - I’ve reached peak tech 🤓 I’ll try again tomorrow!

I’ll be in the shop tomorrow with Prosecco for shoppers from 10:30 - 3:30.

Today we trialled being OPEN on a Monday and it was so wonderful to see so many of you at The Yarnery

Thank you to all of those that came in to knit, crochet, shop and sit down with a coffee. It was such a lovely day! 

Remember that the Yarnstravaganza is still on until October 4th and there are some fabulous deals to be had including 15% off all in stock colours of everyone’s favourite Boho Spirit by Cygnet Yarns.

The shop will be open tomorrow from 10:30 - 3:30 and Afternoon Purlers, our knitting group, will start at 12:30 for those who’d like to come along and see what it’s like!

What a wonderful first weekend of Yarnstravaganza!

Yesterday so many of you came to The Yarnery to see the new ranges we have in, talk about projects, grab limited edition tote bags and enter our yarny raffle. I was honestly blown away by how many of you supported the shop and how many new customers I welcomed to the space.

To continue the celebrations, the shop will be OPEN tomorrow as a (for now) one off! The Yarnery is usually closed on Mondays but so many of you have told me that this is your day off and you’d love to be able to come along.

Tomorrow you can come between 10:30 - 3:30 to shop, grab yourselves a cuppa, bring your projects to sit and craft and meet other yarny people.

During the celebrations this week you can expect 15% off all James C. Brett, Cygnet and King Cole Yarn. Discounted bundles of your favourites and you can still enter our fabulous raffle to win bags full of yarn, KnitPro needles and Clover Amour hooks.
