Adventures! Usually we can only read of fantasy adventure stories or watch them on TV… but an Adventure Quest brings those stories to life!

What an Adventure! My quest to london yesterday couldn’t have been more fun!

I met some brilliant like minded people who are all working on incredible projects of their own.

During Interactive Soup we heard 5 pitches all hoping to be voted for and win the pot of money generated through ticket sales for the evening.

I’m excited to say that Adventure Quests WON!
I am still very surprised and grateful to all those who attended and voted for me and I can’t wait to use the money to push Adventure Quests out there further!

Big shout out to one of my oldest friends who introduced me to the event, advised me on pitching and came with me for moral support too!

A bit of an Adventure for me today!

I’m off to London to attend ‘Interactive Soup’… which is for people in the interactive performance community to socialise, hear about each other’s ideas and projects, and network!

Why am I dressed like this? … because I’m exploring a Jurassic land of course!

I had a brilliant time last week taking a group of 22 little explorers on a Dino Adventure!

Taking along all my props a few decorations too, I loaded up my car and set up in the birthday boys garden in the morning… returning a few hours later in my explorer gear to bring to life A Jurassic Adventure!

Put simply… an Adventure Quest is a series of activities that are all tied together through the narrative of the quest story.

Each activity helps to progress the story and are tasks which include problem solving, critical thinking, role play, scavenger hunting and more!

Yep, even I print off the cue cards when I’m hosting a party!
I might have written the stories and planned the activities but I always print off the script and make notes on them, to be sure I stay on track!

A key part of our quests was making it so anyone can step into the entertainers shoes… even if you hadn’t set up/ been the one to organise the quest!

Why did I create Adventure Quests?

After my son’s 4th birthday party, where Adventure Quests originated, I was overwhelmed by the excitement and enjoyment the children experienced. During the following year whenever we touched on what he wanted to do for his next party, his response was always ‘another quest!’

Such a strong, positive response from all the children and parents at that first party and next party too, made me want to find a way of giving other people the chance to have this much fun with their kids parties too!

It took a year and another party, but I finally decided to go for it!
