Submit them into the Colin Organ Photography Competition for a chance to win a £100 High Street Voucher!

Simply send in your best pics from this year's event to [email protected] by 29 September 2024 (use 'GGR Photo Competition' in the subject).

The photos will be judged by an expert panel including the family of Cllr Colin Organ. The winning snap will be used to promote future festivals, and it'll be seen far and wide!

Gloucester Goes Retro is tomorrow!

Vintage fashion, retro music festival, hundreds of classic cars, all in one fabulous FREE family day out!

You will find famous car brands from yesteryear including Aston Martin, Jensen, Bentley, Triumph, Morris and Alvis to name just a few. For music and dance enthusiasts, visit the Mariners Square Stage where you'll be serenaded by a host of retro acts and get your boogie on with swing dancing. Go and join the National Waterways Museum Gloucester for a day of nautical retro fun. Book a vintage boat trip on their historic little ship Queen Boadicea II or have a go at canoeing and kayaking on the water. Iconic 124 year old schooner, Kathleen & May, will be open to the public from 11:00 - 17:00!

There are also the Best Dressed Competitions and the Colin Organ Photography Competition!

We love to dress up and we are encouraging everyone to wear their best retro and vintage gear.

The best dressed will receive one of our famous golden tickets, inviting them to the main stage in Mariners Square at 2.45pm to take part in our best dressed competitions.

With prizes awarded to the best dressed Man; Woman; Child and Group.

Local businesses can also get involved with the Best Dressed Shop Window and Best Dressed Team competitions!

The Military Village outside the Soldiers of Gloucestershire Museum is back this year for Gloucester Goes Retro!

Experience the scale of the huge REME 32-tonne recovery vehicle and the deadly World War II Hellcat tank.
Alongside these mammoth examples there will also have a REME 6-tonne recovery vehicle, a classic Willy’s Jeep and an FFR Land Rover fitted with state of the art communications equipment.
