💕So much love on stories for my tablescape I had to share it on the grid! (No ad!)

🫖My middle one's birthday is tomorrow so we had family for a tea party.

Ranunculus cut and arranged in some bud vases I got years ago from

I'm always on the hunt for stand out pieces and these candlesticks from are just that.

Tablecloth was from earlier this year.

Perhaps an eclectic look but I love nothing more than spending time decorating for a celebration! You don't have to have flowers for just a wedding 🎂

💐Friday flowers are available on the gate!

We are drawing to a close our Easter holidays and it's been a balancing act of nursing, childcare and flowers!

I was chatting to a patient recently about our flowers and how growing them offers me an escape. Nursing, particularly in critical care, is dictated by policies and a tiny mistake or lapse in concentration has serious consequences.

Flowers are forgiving. I've learnt so much through trial and error the last few years! No year is ever the same and I'm continually trying new things. Despite owning an entire library of books, attending multiple courses and reading everything available online, there is no handbook to being a "successful flower farmer". Your soil, microclimate, funds and resources have a huge impact.

I love the nurse: flower balance I have at the moment. The season is just getting going and there is so much to do but when I get armloads of blooms like this, it makes it worthwhile!

💐Planning on getting more of these beauties on the cart tomorrow, Thursday 11th April!💐

🌱Ranunculus can be an absolute pain to grow! Here are my top 5 tips for success to have April flowers!

1) use a reputable company for your corms, I've used , and
2) presoak the corms before starting in October
3) don't over water! Too much they will rot, too little they won't sprout.
4)Keep them away from rodents, they love them 🐭
5) Grow them under cover. The flowers will die if you have a frost.

They can be tricky, they have taken us a few years to perfect! If you don't want the hassle of growing your own, just come and grab them from us instead 😊

Spring 🌱

Welcome along to our flower journey!

🌸Follow along for a taste of British grown blooms, tips and tricks for growing your own and the occasional story about baking!

We started growing flowers back in 2017. We have seen many changes in the last 7 years and homegrown flowers have never been more popular!

💐We grow flowers and sell direct to our customers. We cut flowers for bouquet orders, extras go on our flower cart and we undertake a small number of weddings each year. Our "buckets, bouquets and buttonholes" are a very popular option (See our website for more info).

Florists, get in touch if you'd like to chat!

Let's talk about the other side of Instagram. I had 2 hrs whilst my one year old napped. It's a Sunday.... I can think of a million and one ways to spend it but here I am, sorting through the pots in my polytunnel, sweeping and cleaning it up ready for this year's growing season!

I have ranunculus to put into the beds in the tunnel, hardy annuals are ticking along and mid Jan will see me starting my sweet peas. How are your plans? Remember, don't start anything else until after Valentine's day. There isn't enough daylight and your little seedlings will fail 🌱

An early 🥳Happy New Year!🥳

I posted at Christmas asking if you wanted to see a bowl arrangement or this rectangle, it was pretty much 50/50 so here's the other!

All foam free, this sits perfectly on our windowsill but also makes a gorgeous table centre. This is over a week old and I've only just got round to photographing it 🤦‍♀️ but hopefully you agree it's still looking wonderful. Yet again another beautiful vase from

I hope 2024 is everything you wish for! I'm so excited for what this year will bring.

Thank you for all the support over the last 12 months 💐

🌟An early Merry Christmas!🌟

Foam free floristry: Chicken wire, pot tape and a beautiful bowl from . All my wreath leftovers allowed me to create this for our own dining table 🎄

These bowl arrangements are super popular for wedding centrepieces and I'm so lucky that is throwing some for me ready for next summer 🎉

I hope whatever you have planned for the next few days, there will be time to relax. Christmas isn't always easy and this year we will be missing some of our own loved ones.

Now, time to finish making the brandy butter and finally ice the Christmas cake!

I think this really could be the last one now 😂

Finally! A wreath for my own front door.

It may be rather wild and contain orange, pink and red but that's what happens when you go for a "bits and bobs" style wreath 🤪

It has all sorts of things in it, some of which have been in my workshop for a very long time but I thoroughly enjoyed putting it together and hope my children approve.

🌲What a wonderful couple of workshops! 🌲

Thank you so much to all those who came and started advent with me. Everyone did a fabulous job and left with a truly unique and stunning wreath!

We have one more to go (all sold out I'm afraid!) And then who knows, I may even get round to making my own front door wreath?!

Lovely to put faces to names and meet some of those who have been following me on here, social media isn't all bad!

Today has been a bit rubbish.

I have gall on a dahlia (pic 2!) 😭 it may appear small and insignificant but in a patch of over 300, this sucks.

To make it better, here's a throwback to an old autumn arrangement and why I grow!

We have bad days as well as the good. Instagram is a tiny snapshot into what we do and I'm feeling a bit dejected this evening.

If you want to make your own pumpkin arrangement here's what you need to do:

1) grab a large pumpkin. Slice off the top and scoop out the middle.

2) treat the pumpkin with 1 part vinegar to 2 parts water, apparently this helps preserve it!

3) find a jar that fits inside your pumpkin

4) fill with your most beautiful flowers! I love the amaranthus here as it helps soften the arrangement.

If you need pumpkins and gourds still have some and are open tomorrow.

Happy Friday!

💕Happy 12 year anniversary to my brilliant husband !

I may have treated myself by cutting some cafe au lait dahlias 😁

These first became super popular about 5 years ago....we have always had a couple of tubers in, I just can't help myself!

We have had a wonderful day celebrating our anniversary with a hack 🐴 and the most delicious roast and puddings at

🧑‍🌾Lifting dahlias

Some people wait for a frost, some people just dig them up as the weather turns, some leave them in.

We are taking a risk this year and I'm leaving them in... They'll have a thick mulch and be covered. Our field has a slight slope and so they're in the driest part of the field. 🤞my risk will pay off.

Still cutting dahlias in October!

Sat here having spent the day herding children at a ploughing match and riding. A very outdoorsy weekend so far! I'm rather shattered so hoping to spend the evening with my feet up and either TV or a book 📖. Open to recommendations if anyone has any?!

💐I have a huge request!

If you've ever had flowers from us, please could I ask you to rate us on Google or on here? Or if you're feeling really generous then both?! Perhaps we have done your wedding, some farewell flowers a bucket or even a bouquet, we would really appreciate it 🥰

Thank you!

They have the best vase life out of the dahlias and are far more useful. Do you have a favourite dahlia?
