The post for this event seems to have vanished from my page so I'm sharing again! Join me and the fabulous Tania Wallace Jewellery at her jewellery studio just outside Templeton for a gorgeously festive afternoon on December 8th. I'll guide you through a creative wreath making session - using locally sourced willow, sustainably harvested Herefordshire moss and a host of beautiful and luxurious natural adornments. Everything you need is supplied, as well as delicious festive drinks and nibbles. Once you've created your beautiful wreath, you'll also have the opportunity to chat to Tania about her handmade silver jewellery that will be on display in the studio - or shop for that perfect gift! ✨🌲

It's been two weeks since I began pre-sprouting the ranunculus and anemone corms - and they're mostly looking great! They have lots of rootlets and are looking healthy and ready to plant 🙌

Sadly some of the anemone corms have rotted despite being treated exactly the same as the others - but they're mostly all good and I'm going to spare you from a pic of the rotted ones as they're truly disgusting 🙈 (IYKYK!)

Now to get them planted in the tunnel and look forward to gorgeous spring flowers! 🌸❤️

I've been busy weaving bases from locally grown willow, shopping for and gathering gorgeous materials for these beautiful natural wreaths - I'll share more over the coming weeks and can't wait to get making with you all! 🌲

A few pics from the wedding fayre yesterday - a showcase of how fabulous local and seasonal wedding flowers can be, even in October! 🌿

Our display was created using a mix of our autumn flowers and those from other lovely growers in our brilliant network, Hati of and Clare & Simon of ❤️ Plus some gorgeous variegated ivy and twisted hazel foraged from our friends at and dried hydrangea from Ali .

Karen from also popped in with some samples of her fantastic dried flower confetti - she creates the most beautiful blends and colour palettes, and obviously completely biodegradable! Perfect for a natural wedding 🌿

It was so lovely chatting to couples - I'll be contacting everyone who left me their email address this week x

So our fresh flower season is at an end (the last of my fresh blooms will be appearing at our wedding fayre stand this Sunday at - come and say hi if you're attending!) but we have lots going on behind the scenes...

Biennials are all planted, hardy annual seedlings are tucked up in the tunnel for the winter, beds are being cleared and prepped, seeds are still being sown (Icelandic poppies going in this week!), bulbs and corms have all arrived now ready for next year's first flowers (narcissi, tulips, hyacinth, anemones and ranunculus all incoming! 🙌) - and I had a really exciting foliage plant delivery this week! Brachyglottis 'Sunshine' and Eucalyptus Gunni 'Azura' - all stunning!

(The children didn't share in my excitement and were a little baffled as to why I'd ordered 'leaves' 🙈🤣)

Blodau a llysiau - harvesting this week! 🌿

Ti'n gallu teimlo'r hydref nawr, you can definitely feel the shift now. The days are shortening, the flowers are slowing down dramatically and we are coming to the end of the polytunnel veg...

Llawer o baratoi i neud am flwyddyn nesa' - lots of clearing and prepping to do for next season - hopefully this rain will stop soon ☔ (And we'd like a lot less next year please!)

Mae archebion olaf wedi'i casglu - the last of our fresh flower orders of the year have now been collected - and we are looking ahead to some lovely workshops and events over the coming months...

Sowing more hardy annuals today! Biennial seedlings are all looking healthy and will be in the ground over the next few weeks, and I'll keep these annuals in the tunnel overwinter ready to plant out in March 🌿

Feeling very dark and autumnal but always hopeful when sowing seeds - hoping for a less challenging growing year in 2025! 🤞

I was so incredibly honoured to be asked to flower Gemma & Kite's special day this weekend at the fabulous ❤️

These two are such special people and truly deserve all the happiness in the world - you can see the love shining so brightly in these photographs by the incredibly talented 🌿

I loved working with gorgeous corals, pinks and purples to create bouquets, buttonholes and cake flowers (plus a beautifully scented rose clip for Gemma's head wrap) - all 100% locally grown by me and the brilliant who provided absolutely stunning dahlias and other lovely blooms 🌸

Cosmos looking glorious in the tunnel today 🌸 (nestled among a blur of sweet peas, dill and toadflax!)

I hope you're all having a fabulous start to August? It's always such a busy time here! This year on top of planning both boys' birthdays and general weddings season flower madness - we decided it would be a great time to have some major renovation work done (seriously doubting our sanity at this point 🙈🤣) - hence less time posting on here I'm afraid!

The flowers are currently keeping me smiling and I'm so looking forward to flowering two beautiful weddings over the next two weekends. Once the ribbons, mechanics and other practical elements are all ordered/organised, I spend this time feeding, supporting, deadheading, counting stems and checking in with other local growers when I need extra stems. I love this part of my job so much! I can't wait to show off these cosmos and other beauties off in lots of lovely wedding florals 🌿

I'm also checking on my edible blooms ready to cut, condition and prep for a wedding cake - I'll share more about this soon! (There are probably lots more edible flowers in your garden than you think - including these cosmos 😍)

Blodau hardd yr haf wedi'i lapio ac ar y ffordd i y bore ma - £10 bunches of beautiful seasonal flowers (including the very first china aster of the season!) on their way to in this morning 🌿

You'll also find daucus, Ammi majus, cosmos, feverfew, leucaunthemum, achillea 'the pearl', pastel achillea, scabious, verbena, calendula and toadflax - all grown by us here at our cutting gardens 🌸
