Oh I do like this head chopper dance - particularly when a child is running down the centre. The dancers have to get under the arches as the top couples go down the set - and a child creating a small arch can create complete chaos lol ! It's just great, clean family fun!
It's getting close to our next barn dance/ceilidh on Saturday 14th December at Coggeshall Village Hall.
Here's an English folk dance from last month's dance - and we will be doing it again, as it gets a whoop from the dancers.
Bring your loved ones, and come join the fun.
You can get your tickets for that event from: https://www.ticketsource.co.uk/barndancefun
Looking forward to seeing you.
This is another video of a polka folk dance from our November barn dance/ceilidh in Coggeshall. I just love the smiles on the faces that appear during this dance - and it's certainly one that we'll be doing at our December barn dance/ceilidh in Coggeshall.

Well done to all who attended the St Stephens Church, Colchester fundraising Ceilidh/Barn Dance on Saturday 28th September - many, many thanks to Chris and Debs who organised it - and a big thanks to the many who got up and joined in the dancing. We had both young and old up dancing with smiles on their faces.
This dance is called Strip The Willow - and we will certainly be doing this (maybe a bit quicker 😄) at our next event this Saturday, the 28th September. It is a fund raiser for St Stephens Church at St Stephen's Church Centre, Canterbury Road Colchester CO2 7RY 6:00PM - 9:00PM.
The event also includes a two-course dinner of pie and mash with gravy, accompanied by peas or beans. The dessert will be trifle. You can detail any vegetarian or dietary requirements at the time of purchase.
