Update:- Sadly Dave Hughes cant be with us on Saturday due to health concerns and a recent bereavement so, we send our condolences and wish him well and hope he will be with us at the next one in 2024

Tickets going fast from Congleton TiC ( 50 left ) also collectable on the door by paying via paypal - when they are gone, they are gone, with no further admission OTD

Announcement:- On behalf of the team, I would just like to thank everyone who came to support the Soul event in November in aid of the Rubys Charity.

It was as anyone present would confirm very well attended and the Franki Valli live act was superb as was the supporting act - Kelly Brazil.

We would like to thank all who made it possible including the DJs, our door staff Yvonne & Irene , Chris Booth who as notmal provides Sound & Vision equipment, the Town Hall staff but especially Alan Finneron from Alan Finneron Funeral Directors ( Sponsor ) for whom this event would not of been possible.

In the end and after paying all outgoings and a prize payment of £210 ( 50/50 raffle winner ) we managed to raise a staggering £2,529.00 !!

Just an amazing amount and the presentation of the cheque to Rubys Fund will happen Thursday 2nd Feb with a full report in the Congleton Chronicle thereafter !

Announcement:- The Franki Valli Tribute experience will be in two performances of 45mins ( @ 21.15hrs & 22.30hrs ). Should you require seating ( limited ) could you please be in the Town Hall ASAP . Also "Before, between and after" the performances, it will be our usual Soul night playing Northern Soul, Motown and 70' Soul classics with a full dancefloor available. As you may already know, this is a charity event on behalf of Rubys Fund and as always we shall be undertaking our usual charity 50/50 cash raffle - tickets available for purchase on entry at £ 1 ea where the lucky ticket holder picked at random, will go home with half the collected pot ( In April the wining ticket holder went home with over £ 200 !!!! ) - we look forward to seeing you all

Update:- Tickets going extremely fast.. btw ontop of our usual 50 / 50 Raffle, we are pleased to announce that food will also be available on the night in Blueys, the new room that replaces the Cotton Club at the front of the Town Hall where you will be able to catchup with friends for a chat as well as get drinks and food - more details closer to the event with times for the two live performances from Stephen James aka Franki Valli 👍

ANNOUNCEMENT:- DJs Past and Present ( aka Richard Wharfe & Chris Booth ) would like to announce that at the Charity Northern Soul gig held at Congleton Town Hall on Sat 30 April 2022, in memory of our fellow DJ & friend Andy Hulme we were able to raise a whopping £ 1,457.00 for Ruby’s Fund, through ticket sales, raffle sales and additional kind donations. Ruby’s Fund is a local children charity based in Congleton offering SEND family support and wellbeing services.

It was our first event in over 2years due to the pandemic and we felt everyone was ready to get back to normal. The support from local Soulies was tremendous and we can’t thankyou all enough for attending, hoping you all had a great night but most of all due to the additional donations we received on the night – you are all amazing !

Within the total amount raised £ 203.00 was from the now famous 50/50 raffle, the winner, David Waite also taking home £ 203.00 with the winning ticket picked at random by Pamela Hulme
We would like to thank all involved – the DJs especially Andy Farron, Steve Welch, Keith Goodwin, Richard Wharfe and not forgetting our special guest Dj from the West Midlands and well known on the national scene – Mr Dave Hughes – all of whom offered their services for FREE and without them such an event simply couldn’t happen. We would also like to thank the new commercial partner Gary and his team at Congleton Town Hall for a great job on the bar, GT Security, Congleton Town Council once again offering discounted charges for use of the main hall for a charity and in particular Yvonne who manned the front door mostly single handed all night

We will end 2022, with an additional Northern Soul Charity gig at Congleton Town Hall – Sat 26 November 2022 ( Tickets on sale now at Congleton Information Centre, existing tickets from 2020 still valid and transferable ) This event is also to raise much needed funds for Ruby’s Fund but with a difference and I am pleased to confirm again after so many cancellations that probably the best Frankie Valli tribute artist in the UK will be definitely be undertaking a live act performance on the night – this event can’t be missed !

We are delighted to confirm that the April's Charity Soul Night in memory of DJ Andy Hulme will be going ahead - tickets should be available from Congleton TIC as of 1st March 2022 - we hope to see all our regulars there, but please be quick with getting your tickets as we expect a complete sellout, especially due to our special guest DJs who draw national attention on the NS scene 🙂

Important Announcement:- With today's statement from Boris Johnson, to suggest all restrictions will be withdrawn as of 24 February, a month earlier, it will be our intention then to decide whether or not our next charity Northern Soul & Motown evening will happen at Congleton Town Hall - 30th April 2022, as at the moment it would appear there isn't a great deal of confidence in ppl meeting especially in larger crowds dancing and drinking.... watch this space

With great sadness we have to inform you that the Charity Event on 23 October 2021 @ CTH to raise very needed funds for The Ruby's Fund has had to be cancelled yet again. This is due to the Town Hall been used for a vaccination hub once again until 31st December 2021 and the Town Hall have cancelled all bookings until the New Year ie. it was not our choice again. We are working with the artist and hope to rebook him again in late 2022, date TBC - as previous all tickets sold todate are fully transferable to next year, however should you prefer a refund, please contact your ticket provider to organize this - we hope to confirm in due course the revised data for this event.
