Lewes Eco Party Box is ready for the new school year! Here is our very simple price list! As you can see, it's very cheap to hire reusables for your party. Much cheaper than buying disposables, and, just as importantly, much less wasteful. We still have some availability for late September and October, so please get in touch if you're having a party.

Well, the temperature is dropping and the leaves are turning... I'm missing the summer already, but my boys are excited about conkers!! September has been a busy one for parties, so far, but we have plenty of availability for the rest of the month and into October. We'd love to hear from you if you're having a party. Having a party this weekend? We have availability, if you would like to hire one of our party kits! Both our kits contain 2 lovely strings of fabric "Happy Birthday" bunting, like the one pictured (although not always exactly this one). We think they look beautiful. 🎊🎉🥳 ❤️

I haven't posted for a while, because life has been so hectic. This photo, of two boxes checked over and awaiting collection, was taken last Friday, but I am only now managing to write a post! It's been a busy weekend for Lewes Eco Party Box - both these full boxes, plus some of my spares going out to a friend for her little girl's party. ❤️

I know we're not quite there yet! This is just a reminder that our party boxes are not just for kids' parties. If you're having a party over the Easter break, whatever the occasion, and you need plates, cups, cutlery, tablecloths etc, please get in touch. We currently have plenty of availability.

What a beautiful weekend for a party! 🌞 😍 Both our boxes are out this weekend, one of them supersized! (Yes, we can boost your box if you need to cater for more than 30 people!). That's up to 220 single use items saved from landfill.

It was my little one's 4th birthday party at the weekend. Of course, we used one of the party boxes, and it was great to see it in action first hand. This was my cake creation... not quite what I had envisaged (winging it?! ME?! 🤣) but pretty pleased with how it turned out! I hope all those of you planning parties for your little ones this weekend are feeling calm and collected, unlike me this time last week! (Photo credit , my lovely friend Jess).

Spring is in the air!! I can't wait.
I love the emerging crocuses and daffodils (although 7 year old boy child tells me daffs are poisonous?? Who knew?! Not me). Anyway, there is definitely positivity in the air, and parties are absolutely back on the agenda!!

A belated happy new year to everyone! I hope you all had lovely Christmasses.

I had wondered what 2022 would hold, as far as children's parties went. But everybody seems to be going ahead as planned, which is great news for us, the kids, and everyone! So please get in touch with your January, February and March bookings. There is currently plenty of availability.

I have also acquired a reusable pass the parcel set, for up to 15 children. It will be £3 to hire.

If you have a moment, could you let me know if it's something you might consider hiring in the future, and, if so, how many bags you think it should contain? When it comes to food waste, parties can be particularly wasteful - the fear of under-catering is very real for many of us. 😬

With a bit of planning we can significantly reduce waste from food at parties...

🍏1. Create a menu plan and try to be realistic about quantities needed, especially if your party isn't at a regular mealtime.

🍏2. Write a shopping list to reduce last minute panic buying in the supermarket.

🍏3. Plan ahead for any leftovers, such as asking guests to bring food containers along to the party so they can take home any extra food.

Did you know that paper plates will take 5-20 years to breakdown in landfill?! 😱

That's a LONG time for something used just once at a party.
