What an incredible Tug of War at the Hawkhurst Fete! 🎉

The 8 Bells team dominated the field, undefeated until it took not one, but TWO teams to finally dethrone them! The victorious team celebrated in style, spraying a magnum of Prosecco donated by Waitrose over the champions. 🥂

And that's not all—the winners will have their name engraved on a beautiful cup to commemorate their hard-fought victory. 🏆

We captured the action on video, so all players, be sure to tag yourselves and relive the excitement. We can't wait to see everyone again next year for more fun and fierce competition! 💪

We would like to thank everybody who came to the Hawkhurst Fete last Saturday, we hope you all had a great time.
The existing Fete Committee has been in place for many years now and we feel it is time for a new group of people to take over, perhaps with new ideas and more energy!
To that end, all except one of the existing organisers will be stepping down although we will naturally be on hand to pass over our contacts and experience if required.
There will be a meeting at the Royal Oak on Tuesday 4th July for anyone who feels they might wish to join the Committee. It really is a lot of fun, so hopefully some of you out there will volunteer.

Unfortunately the law has caught up with the Hawkhurst smugglers so they will no longer be able to attend the fete on Saturday. Fear not, there is still plenty of fun to be had - stalls, food, drinks, music, dog show, children's entertainment, raffle plus lots more and plenty of free parking 😀
