Brand new Summer themed Face in Hole Board headed out to its new home yesterday featuring Highland cows driving tractors, a goat and chicken on a jumping pillow, sunbathing piggies, ducks building sand castles and guinea pigs stuffing their faces... who knew farms are so fun 😆🤩

Their Face in the Hole board was created to compliment the stunning carousel at the venue, wedding colours, dress style, their love for travel and up coming move to Paris, not to mention particular attention to the styling of Andys hair ha ha 😉😆

Oooh well this is exciting....

Last summer I had the pleasure of painting a fun fair themed Face in the Hole Board for the one and only Hugh Cornwell, solo artist and lead singer of world famous mega band 'The Stranglers' 😲

The board was to become the front cover of his next album, he even visited me at the studio to finalise the design together 🤩

Roll on October when I can get my very own copy AND see my credit on the sleeve

Did you know... Every one of your boards has been painted 11 times!!!!
As well as designing, drawing, cutting, painting, airbrushing and 2 layers of varnish, your board is also undercoated twice on both sides plus two coats of gloss on the back before we even get started, as well as all the drying the time that's needed in between...

Love how these looks all together ❤️ 8 x 6 foot Easter Eggs for an Easter Quiz Trail ready to head out to their new home in Staffordshire. The trail has been designed to be able to be used for multiple years changing the questions each year ie 🐰 How many carrots is the bunny holding by the barn? 🐰 What colour egg is behind the bunny holding all the carrots? 🐰 How many carrots has the bunny on the purple egg dropped? Etc Once the trail has been completed it can be exchanged for a prize, possibly located in a retail area to encourage secondary spend, and without the need for additional staff 😀 These also double up as great large colourful photo ops around your attraction 📷 Trails can be created with any theme for any event in the year, get in touch today with your ideas but please don't leave it too late as the books are already filling up this year and we would hate for you to miss out 🎨 www artifexdesigns.co.uk

Such a lovely video of our Christmas attraction now open at Chobham Adventure Farm, fun to build and even more fun to watch families enjoy today 🎅🎄

It's not too early to start thinking about Halloweem and adding a UV Maze to your attraction. This one was at a pick your own farm for children, spot the strawberry, rhubarb and raspberry as well as traditional pumpkins 🎃 Maze panels are painted and shipped in to you to be erected into your space.

Halloween UV Maze 2021

Great to see this UV (ultra violet) Maze up and running, even better with the sound on 😁 This maze was designed to incorporate all the 'pick your own' fruit and veg available at the farm throughout the year. Can you spot: Spooky Pumpkins Strawberry Witch Zombies with Blackberries for brains The flying Raspberry witch, and course... A mummified Rhubarb 😂 Also painted to be viewed in 3D which means they can add 3D glasses next year for a whole new experience 😁

Artifex Designs was launched in 2017 following 20 years in the arts and attractions industry, combining all the knowledge, experience and skills you see here today, into one business.

I am extremely lucky to be one of those sickeningly annoying people who absolutely loves their work and lucky enough to be running such a creative and fun company. Whilst studying art at university I joined the theatre and here my love for the arts grew into a new love for arts AND entertainments. Following three years at the theatre I then spent four years at Merlin Entertainments at a couple of their amazing attractions, completed my certificate in attractions management and have since enjoyed working within various visitor attractions. In 2012 I found myself as the Visitor Services Manager at a Farm Park. Here my imagination was let loose on seasonal events and this is where I fell in love with Halloween and Christmas and the absolute joy of seeing children get excited and enjoy an experience that came out of my imagination.

Artifex Designs takes me all over the country and on long drives I often listen to Christmas stories, as well as inspiring my work they also inspire my life. In one of these books I heard Father Christmas say something that changed my whole outlook on life and how all of our projects are approached, ‘Nothing is impossible, you just haven’t worked out how to make it possible yet!’ So if you have an idea, I am sure we can make it happen!

I am honoured to be working with so many fabulous businesses and more importantly, business owners who are as passionate about providing amazing days out, events and services as I am about providing them. I pride myself in having an imagination only a web browser could understand, attention to detail, a drive to learn every day and am passionate about providing amazing immersive experiences so if you have had a niggley idea flitting around in your head I urge you to remind yourself, ‘Nothing is impossible, you just haven’t worked out how to make it possible yet’, pick up the phone and chat to me about it, i’d love to hear from you.
