And that's a wrap. Yesterday was my 4th and final Christmas Wreath Making workshop at the lovely Onneley Village Hall, and what a great end to the season it was.
Everyone made beautiful wreaths whilst having lots of laughs and fellowship 😊 and I was extremely pleased to welcome the first gentleman to attend and he made a beautiful wreath.

Thank you to everyone who have attended my workshops this year. I really appreciate all my regular and new customers.

Another great Christmas Wreath Making Workshop today 🎄

It was good to welcome some more new people along with some seasoned regulars 😊

Everybody body did an amazing job and fantastic wreaths were made to take home. It is always a privilege to watch people grow in confidence, as the session progresses and reveal their inner creativity.

Thank you to The Madeley Centre for the use of their wonderful venue and their chef for delicious homemade soup.

A good time was had by all with lots of fun and fellowship.

Many thanks to you all for coming. I really hope you all enjoyed it as much as I do. I look forward to seeing pictures of wreaths on doors or walls 😁🎄🌈

It was great to welcome back returning and new faces to my first Christmas Wreath Making Workshop of the season, at the The Offley Arms

We had lots of fun getting creative and everyone left with a beautiful, individual wreath of their own. (I look forward to seeing pictures of wreaths on doors 😁).

Shared a lovely, creative morning and met some wonderful new people on my Pumpkin Arrangement Workshop today 🎃

It was great to help them find confidence to learn a new skill and unleash their inner creativity.

They all worked really hard, along with lots of chats and laughter 😊 and I have to say the end results were really beautiful and impressive👌👏

Hi all, just thought I'd give you a bit of an insight into life as a flower farmer and florist. I'm always thinking and planning ahead by a season or two.

Back in June/July I was ordering bulbs for next spring and sowing biennial seeds to flower early next summer.

In August and September I start planning for pumpkin arrangement and Christmas wreath making workshops, getting next year's hardy annual seeds sown and planting out the biennial plants that have been quietly growing away nicely.

I've recently been pricking out those hardy baby seedlings which I will protect over winter and plant out next spring for more summer flowers.

Over the last few days and in the coming weeks, I'll be planting out all those bulbs I ordered back in June, getting together my orders for next years Dahlias and Chrysanthemums, finalising preparations for workshops and making more new beds. All whilst picking and arranging flowers for orders and maintaining my flower patch.

It's certainly a juggling act and there's never a dull moment, always so varied and interesting. Then of course, there's the constantly changing weather to contend with, which can be frustrating and challenging! It's an amazing process though, to start off with empty seed trays, and then have the joy of watching them grow from such tiny seeds into seedlings, then mini plants that will fill the empty beds and become full of gorgeous, fresh flowers next year.

As many of you know, it's been a tough season setting everything up again from scratch, but it has been great and encouraging to welcome new and existing customers back. I hope to be back in full production from next spring and am looking forward to meeting all of your floral requests.

Had a lovely, sunny afternoon yesterday, helping my friend and colleague collecting, washing and arranging for their homegrown pumpkin display for their first open weekend of the pumpkin season 🎃

They have an amazing variety, (I got mine ready for my workshops😁), so get yourselves down to Woore Fruit Farm this coming Saturday and Sunday with the family for some seasonal fun 🎃

It was a real joy and pleasure to make my amazing mother-in-law a couple of arrangements for her recent 80th birthday 😊 💐

This is one of the reasons why I grow local, seasonal, sustainable and chemical free cut flowers, and source from other like-minded flower farmers in the UK if needed.

Women work long and gruelling hours to grow the flowers sold across Europe.

Thank you for all your birthday wishes 😊
I/we've had a lovely day. After a night at The Waterford Arms and a lovely meal, we had another walk along the beach this morning, then another lovely lunch before heading off for a walk along part of Hadrians Wall. It's a beautiful area of the country and everyone was so friendly 😊 we even squeezed in a quick trip into Scotland to visit Gretna Green seeing as we were so close 😊

Had a wonderful day visiting Halls of Heddon. Submerged ourselves in their glorious Dahlias. David and his staff were really friendly and welcoming, even recommending the Robin Hood Inn, East Wallhouses for a delicious lunch 😋
Followed by a walk along the lovely beach of Seaton Sluice. A perfect end to a lovely day 😁
