Make your own unique lantern in one of our workshops to keep and bring along to our lantern procession and festival on Saturday 22nd November 5.30 - 7.30 pm.

The procession starts from Shirley Methodist Church at 5.30pm and finishes at The Wilderness, where our larger lanterns are displayed around the garden.

Cost per person to take part in one of our lantern workshops is £5 + booking fee.

A big thank you to The Hub Transport Advisory, who volunteered with us last Friday for the day and it was their third year using their corporate volunteer day at The Wilderness. The group got so much done, including path edging, turning and amalgamating leaf bins and compost bins, weeding path edges and making lantern bases for our upcoming lantern festival. Hope to see you guys next year!

Join one of our lantern workshops to create your very own unique lantern and bring it along to our lantern festival on Saturday 22nd November 5.30 - 7.30pm.

We had a full house on our 1st lantern workshop, with 10 beautiful handmade lanterns being made and taken home by participants.

We still have places available for Sunday 19th October, Wednesday 22nd October (Family friendly session) at The Wilderness and Wednesday 12th November at Shirley Methodist Church.

In partnership with Shirley Methodist Church and Amnesty International Croydon.

We are doing things a little differently this year with a lantern procession starting from Shirley Methodist Church and finishing at The Wilderness. There is no need to book, just turn up with your lantern!
