Today is international day of the Midwife. To celebrate, here I am in my uniform proudly!

I’m celebrating midwives not because I’m one, but because I know midwives are amazing!

Midwives give so freely of themselves.

Sometime we can go for hours without food, a drink or even a loo break .
But you will never know as we stand by our mothers urging them on to “PUSH” whilst we hold the wee in, offering a sip of drink to give them energy whilst our tummy rumbles. Our hearts beating fast in our chest whilst we calmly tell mum not to be afraid.

Today I celebrate all midwives across the world for giving so much of yourselves. God bless you ❤️

This week we are celebrating 2years since Milly’s cake house opened in Dartford !. I was looking through my diary and saw what I wrote in 2015… “look into owning a stall/shop”! Fast forward to 2022, I opened a cake shop! It’s true what bible says, write the vision down! Habakkuk 2:2. If you have a dream to do something, you must perceive it, write it down and pray about it then go for it! I hope to inspire someone to go for their dreams. We all have a gift, seeded inside of us but often 9-5 steals that dream. Even if it’s part time, don’t be afraid to start small. I started with 4 shelves and very little stock. Today, the shop is filled and I would love some more space🤣 Reminds of 2Kings 4:2. As long as you have capacity, God will fill it! Surround yourself with people who will build you up, even when they don’t see the vision, yet they pray for you and with you. As I celebrate 2 years of God’s goodness, I will like to acknowledge those who God used to make my dream a reality. My husband, my children, my niece, my friends esp Antonia and TW family, my neighbours, Orchard shopping centre owners and management and of course my customers. Stressful as wedding cakes are, I think naked and semi naked are even more stressful because of the lack of extra protection from buttercream or fondant.
