So yesterday at the open day at The Whitehall Hotel I got the pleasure of being near Willow & Wilde Bridal , we got chatting then a little cog ticked and I realised we had a friend in common , so a quick selfie was sent to her to say "look who I found"

Last post for today , more tomorrow, so today at The Whitehall Hotel open day I spent a lot of time tasting different types of cake made Saras cake heaven ... ooooosh , they were incredible

How easy to wear does this gown look ? I think I've reached the stage in life where I'm all about the comfort and this looks comfortable ... I mean it looks gorgeous too so it's a double win

Just rewatching the Gavin & Stacey from Christmas special for the second time , and have to say I've never done a stand up poll on whether a wedding should go ahead , but what an incredible scene it was, I'm crying yet again but happy tears ... Did someone say solo Christmas do ?

My third Christmas as a self employed person means my third solo Christmas do , and it couldn't have gone better , Chinese, pint and a gig , home for midnight - boom !
A completely selfish evening on Thursday of doing exactly what I wanted ... and it was great , do I have friends- yes, do I have family - yes ... were they invited... nope ! Because it was my works Christmas do just for me 😂

Today I have been at my final wedding of 2024 at a really special venue to me - Lister Steps at The Old Library , why is it so special ?
For me its because it is at the heart of a community, it's a focal point of so many local activities but also because its just so accessible.
Many modern buildings don't have half the facilities that have been retrofitted into this glorious period building.

So for all the amazing photos I could share today I'm sharing one of a wheelchair accessible lift , because that's what matters to me and should matter to every single venue.

When the afternoon before the wedding the bride emails and says "my sister would like to do a reading, can we fit it in ?" , my answer - of course! Because a wedding with me is about including as many people as we can to create the most unique and personal ceremony we can imagine between us.

So the words came through and I instantly recognised them as lyrics to a song... why did I recognise it instantly ... well because it was the song I chose for my own wedding 2 years ago. So tomorrow I'm going to hi 5 the sister for having impeccable taste 🥰

I love having a go at crafty stuff but I definitely leave the decorations at weddings to the experts like florists and venue dressers , last night I surprised myself by turning out a passable attempt at a door wreaths in aid of East Lancashire Hospice
