Our Story

Musician, producer, DJ, and music enthusiast Yannis G comes from Darwen, Lancashire. When not performing, he spends his time perfecting his mixing and scratching, or producing his own music. Yannis was brought up in a very musically influenced home as his father played numerous instruments including the alto and soprano saxophone, so it is only natural that he shares the same desire for music. He started off DJ’ing with friends in his garage, and made his name predominantly from his scratch videos, recorded by his friend Mikey Davies, who now runs Flexxed TV. Those videos, along with demo CD’s he recorded, became very popular across the north of England, helping Yannis gain DJ work and residencies at some of the biggest events and nightclubs England has to offer at the age of 16, playing alongside huge acts such as Ultrabeat, Gammer, Eddie Halliwell, and Darren Styles to name a few. Yannis is renowned for his energetic style of DJ’ing, and often lifts the atmosphere on a dancefloor when he graces the decks, so don’t be surprised when you suddenly find yourself dancing.
