Live Music at the Cricket Club!

Why not join us for an evening of live music with some absolutely fantastic acts for you?

On Friday 13th December; we have a range of live music to enjoy starting from 7:30pm

Last Man Standing, a five piece band playing some classic country music.

BandAge official punk/indy , a punk/indie band playing a whole range of covers including the Clash and Green Day

Finished off with some Christmas classics a couple of weeks before the event from Sharlene from Last Man Standing.

A fantastic presentation evening as always, big thanks to our friends at Peckish Deal for the great food and to Scotty, Linz and Liz for their organisation and hard work getting it all sorted.

A big thanks to our Club President John Shepherd as always in his 48th year of being involved with the club.

Some great awards given including the Alan Albury Memorial award which was presented to the club at Kent Cricket a few weeks ago and finally made its way to Steve Wilson on behalf of his dad Fred.

No other man we could think of would be more deserving of an award about their commitment to cricket.

Finally, we were able to give a big cheque for £1,000 to Pilgrims Hospices due to our sales of Red Stripe during cricket week and some raffling and donations - an absolutely amazing cause and done in memory of Sylvia Banks for the great man Errol

What a week it has been!

Thanks to all those that have joined us throughout the week and after yesterday’s league games were washed out, the sun is back for the big one!

What a day yesterday was!

Thanks so much to Sandwich Town Cricket Club for the great game of cricket and for getting stuck into the quiz as always.

A fitting tribute to Fred throughout the day who would’ve loved every second of it.

Thanks to Star of India for rolling out over 80 curries for the evening too, as always an absolutely superb offering.

Today, we face St Margaret's Cosmopolitan Cricket Club and the bar will be open all day, come and enjoy the cricket!

Don’t forget about our softball tournament before the game against Deal & Betteshanger Rugby Club in the evening and our race night.

A fantastic day yesterday with Wingham Cricket Club taking home the trophy with a last ball win over Vics! A big thanks to Sandwich Town Cricket Club for their two teams and Peckish Deal for coming over to roll out some great lunch options.

Today is all about Fred Wilson, our dearly missed Secretary and local cricketing legend as Sandwich join us for the Fred Wilson Memorial Game.

We have our lunch before the game itself where we can share our memories and stories of Fred on a day he always enjoyed.

Then we look forward to Star of India heading over to provide our curry for Curry & Quiz this evening which is now sold out.

We kickstarted the week with a win, thanks very much to Walmer Cricket Club-Sholden for the game as always.

Today is the turn of the Sixes with a Deal Vics Originals side featuring as well as the visiting Wingham Cricket Club who always make the day of it and Sandwich Town Cricket Club who have stepped up with two sides after a late pull out.

Peckish Deal will be on site at lunchtime and the bar is open all day so why not pop up?

Superstar Juniors

Our superstar juniors turning up to presentation evening in secret to give two very big thank yous to Scott and Chris for all their hard work.

A reminder of our annual presentation evening coming up on Friday 6th October. We have some fantastic food being prepared by our friends at Peckish Deal, some light hearted entertainment in the form of a race night and a range of awards being given to our players from across the season. If you haven’t got your ticket as of yet, make sure to get in touch to not miss out!

With the weekend gone, we’ve also now seen the end of our cricket season for all of our teams, a great season with both league teams remaining where they are as well as some great cricket played on Sundays and fantastic success and progress for our Juniors. Our Juniors Presentation Evening is set for this Friday night with our Adults Presentation Evening set for Friday 6th October where we will have food provided by our friends and sponsors Peckish Deal. We will also have a fantastic race night! If you’d like to attend, please get in touch, at £10 a head it’s a great value evening not to be missed.

Delighted to say we are now fully booked for our Curry & Quiz night next week as part of our annual cricket week, don’t forget our live music on the Friday evening though - free entry and some great music from local band Pool Club
