Have you seen Elmer the Patchwork Elephant and his friends?
Elmer and friends have been with us during the festive season and will remain in the City Centre throughout January but then sadly it will be time to pack their trunks and say farewell.
If you haven't found them all yet there is still time and you can pick up a trail map from our Tourist Information Centre on High Street.

Frost Festival Finale in full swing in Sir Nigel Gresley Square

Don't forget to join us in Sir Nigel Gresley Square for the fabulous Frost Festival Finale on Monday 23rd Dec 3pm -8pm.
There will be children's rides, Face Painting, Stilt Walkers, Music, Dance and Song including some Christmas Carols.
Will will be joined by Doncaster Radio Shorrel Jade as well a special appearance from The Grinch, Stitch and Naughty Elf.
The event is free to attend but a wristband can be purchased for £2.50 for unlimited rides and a free face paint.

This evening is the last time Father Christmas will be visiting Doncaster before the big day. Online bookings have now closed but there are a limited number of walk-up tickets available on the door at the 4.30pm and 5.30pm sessions. This really is a magical group experience for all little ones not to be missed.

Remember last year when Father Christmas took up residence at Doncaster Mansion House, well he had such a lovely time that he is opening the doors for 3 visits this year - 12th, 18th & 19th December.
Father Christmas, Mrs Claus and all the Elves are getting very excited to meet all the Children at this lovely pre Christmas event.

Important notice

We have been closely monitoring the weather forecast and due to the severe weather warning for Saturday 7th December, the decision has been taken to delay the opening of the Frost Festival festive cabins.

The Met Office is indicating that winds will peak above safe limits in the region throughout Saturday so this decision has been made in the interests of safety, this is in line with guidance for extreme weather conditions and high winds.

Post storm inspections will follow once the wind speed drops to a safe level and the team will continue to monitor the weather conditions and progress of the storm, at present we expect to be able to open the cabins on Sunday 8th Dec, however, we will continue to monitor the situation as the storm moves across the UK.

Father Christmas will greet visitors in the Priory Suite for music and tales of his adventures, while Mrs Claus is busy baking cupcakes for children to help decorate in the Great Kitchen... 🤶
