For the 5th year running let me introduce to you all our Mother’s Day afternoon tea boxes 🎁🎁

£20 per person

Collection only on Sunday the 30th of March from 9-1 at Roo’s 2 Go!

And that’s a wrap on this week 👩🏼‍🍳👩🏼‍🍳it’s been an incredibly exhausting one 😴😴 we are both absolutely knackered and well and truly looking forward to some what of day off tomorrow 🙌🏻

This week alone we have catered 4 private event dinners at Highwards, Valentines bistro night in Roo’s Kitchen, valentines afternoon tea boxes, 2 celebration cakes, cake boxes, multiple buffets and working our usual shifts in Roo’s Kitchen 😅

Busy day today with event catering & celebration cakes 🎂 including this buffet for 20 people heading off to its new home 😋

So many people are raving about our new buffet menu and the catering they are receiving 🙌🏻 which is exactly what we want to hear 🥰

I recently updated our buffet menu and there is loads more choice (even thought there was loads before) prices start from just £5 per person! With a mixture of sweet & savoury options to choose from on the menu!

Absolutely everything is homemade and we are so proud of that! It makes a huge difference! And although everything takes time the end product definitely speaks for itself!

I recommend sending us a message as soon as for any event catering! There is some dates that we are fully booked for months before! We have already started taking bookings for this entire year as well as next year!

If you do have a last minute event you need catered we recommend giving us at least 1 weeks notice so we can accommodate you!

This is the 5th year doing our special Valentines afternoon tea boxes 🎁

Each year we go above & beyond 🫶🏻 this year we have 32 items in each box, each box is for 2 people! Everything in the box is meant to be there and nothing is put in just to fill the gaps 🙌🏻🙌🏻

This afternoon tea box I truly believe is worth every penny! The amount of preparation & hours of work that goes in to these boxes is unbelievable 🫶🏻💕

I hope everyone enjoys their boxes today 🥰 don’t forget to collect them today from 9-1 from Roo’s 2 Go 🙌🏻🙌🏻

Let’s talk Valentines boxes!

We have been getting a lot of messages about these lately so I have decided we will be offering 1 type of box only! With a limited amount being made!

Option 1 - sweet & savoury treats! This will include a range of homemade themed cakes and sweet treats with things like sausage rolls, quiches & scotch eggs

Option 2 - just sweet treats! This will include a range of homemade themed cakes, a filled scone, some chocolate dipped strawberries & some other stuff!

Option 3 - afternoon tea boxes! This will include sandwiches, savoury treats, scones and a selection of homemade themed cakes

I will only be doing 1 option so choose what you would order!

Did you know that all our cakes are made in house by our talented team of bakers (myself - Roo, Margaret, Becca & Debbie) I Remember the day when it was only me that made absolutely everything… yeah how times change 😂

You can order our delicious cakes into a cake box! We have a range of different sizes and these can make the perfect addition to any event!

I mean because no one needs an excuse to eat cake!!

We need a minimum of 7 days notice!

Charcuterie boxes don’t even need an excuse to look this good 🧀🧀

These are perfect no matter what the occasion!

Cheese & meats are the one thing you can eat for breakfast, lunch, dinner & snacks and no one will judge you!

Our boxes are always beautiful presented and prepared!

They may not all look identical but hey where is the fun in that! I’ll tell you one thing thought.. they are mega tasty 🤤

They all contain the following

A selection of cheeses, cured meats, oatcakes, crackers, hummus, crudités, chutney, olives, fresh fruit (you might get strawberries, you might get blackberries! This is dependent on the season!) dried fruit, nuts, dark chocolate, grape’s & rosemary (because why not! It smells amazing when the box gets opened!)

We require a minimum notice of 7 days!

This is something a lot of people don’t know that we do however we have been doing these for the last 5 years!

They certainly aren’t your regular type of cake! However they are definitely a showstopper, are mega tasty & Roo herself makes them all in-house!

These are charged at £45 each for a 10” cake! Feeding 15-20 people 🙌🏻

Currently there is 23 different options to choose from!

We cater for all events from 10-60 people! Currently we only provide cold buffets! This may or may not change in the future!

All dietary requirements are catered for and full allergy lists are provided on each box!

You love our coffee shop & bistro Roo’s Kitchen & you love our takeaway Roo’s 2 Go but before this was Roo’s Kitchen when all it was, was only event catering, our famous boxes & our private dinner parties

Over the years I think it’s all become a bit confusing about who does what. So I wanted to make this brand new page only for event catering enquires, ordering our famous boxes & discussing private dinner parties. Hopefully this will make things a little bit easier!

I want to break down where you can get what from and which shop!

Before I break it all down I want to tell you a bit more about the event catering we do! For over 5 years now we have catered all events from christening to birthday parties and from weddings to funerals!

For the last wee while we have only been catering cold buffets for up to 60 people as well as our takeaway boxes etc. For the time being this will remain the same! However over the coming weeks we will be bringing out a new buffet menu as I believe it needs a wee change!

Please read below the following information

Roo’s Kitchen Coffee Shop & Bistro located at 3 Wallace street, Dumbarton G82 1HH. It’s open Tuesday-Sunday serving breakfast, Lunch, Brunch, a full counter filled with homemade cakes and afternoon teas available for sit in. We also host our bistro nights a couple of times every month. You can also book for exclusive use hire!

Roo’s 2 Go located right next door at 70 Glasgow Road, Dumbarton G82 1HH. It’s open Thursday-Sunday each week. Here you will find an extensive menu all for takeaway! Breakfast rolls, filled cold rolls, panini’s, baked potatoes, sub rolls, loaded hash browns, Homemade cakes as well as a wide range of hot & cold drinks

Roo’s Event Catering. This is completely online. All event catering enquiries should send us a message! Our event catering is only available for collection from our takeaway shop Roo’s 2 Go (unless otherwise discussed) This page will also be used for everyone to wants to order our afternoon tea boxes, charcuterie boxes and breakfast boxes 🎁🎁

(PLEASE NOTE THE ONLY PEOPLE THAT DEAL WITH THE EVENT CATERING IS MYSELF (ROO) & AMY! WE KEEP OUR OWN DIARY’S! NONE OF THE STAFF CAN ADVISE YOU ON ANY OF THIS!)

I highly recommend booking for all your catering months in advance! A lot of dates are already fully booked!
