There’s so much of 2023 to share and this morning I’ve been reflecting on this amazing couple, M & C.

Their plans were 18 months in the making and the venue search started off in the West Coast of Scotland. After much discussion we settled on the perfect venue on the opposite side. So for those who find their wedding plans changing and evolving, don’t worry and trust your gut!

It was an international affair with guests coming from Spain, Canada, Australia and local guests from Scotland. We planned a two day celebration at the same venue so guests were able to make the most of their time together.

A Scottish vow renewal ✨

20 years ago on the day pictured N&P celebrated their marriage from France here in Scotland. I was delighted when they reached out for help in planning a vow renewal to the exact day, along with their beautiful family and 30 of their closest friends.

They planned an epic 2 week road trip around Scotland seeing all the sites, and enjoyed the whisky along the way. The main event took place at the exact same venue of the newly renovated , and the afternoon was captured by . Thanks for the images John!

A local minister conducted the service in the beautiful on-site chapel which included a candle ceremony with their children - a really special moment.

styled the ladies and designed lovely florals to compliment the red dress, the same colour worn 20 years ago.

The wonderful and Highland dancers entertained the guests out on the lawn. The dances were demonstrated and then we split the group into guys vs girls. The guests got stuck straight into dancing, and it was up to N&P to choose the winners.

helped the gents with their Scotland Forever outfits, and created a bespoke tartan sash and stoles for the ladies to match.

And finally a special thanks to Doune Transport who were to hand for various airport pick ups and coach transfers.

A happy happy day for L&D back in September at one of my favourite barn venues.

It was food and wine galore at this wedding. The main feast was carefully curated, starting with a wonderful sharing board of homemade breads, focaccia, baba ganouch, tomato, lime and coriander salsa. Then it was onto slow cooked harissa lamb accompanied by a variety of sharing bowls: roasted heritage carrots with tahini and pomegranate, and orzo pasta with roquette and feta to name a few. The bride’s family even produced their own wine for the occasion, which was incredible!
