There’s something quite romantic about scattered bits of flowers, petals and garden cuttings… if I’d had my camera I could photograph it like an old Victorian painting // prep day at the studio for a stunning wedding of peaches and burnt oranges (yum!!), my wee girl is out in the garden playing with the neighbours on a mini bouncy castle as I work away in the studio listening to their laughter and contentedness - what a beautiful moment this is ♥️

Teacher appreciation post // my wee girl is just finishing her first year in P1 and the moment I had my first visit with her I knew we were in good hands. People are quick to point out the faults in the schooling system iv found but I can only ever see the good, teachers are HELLA amazing!!! The way they teach our kids, the care they have and the amount of time they put into their jobs is astounding and a big shout out to Mrs Smart (our teacher who has put her heart and soul into teaching) who this bouquet was made for, the lovely thing about being a florist is that I don’t have to go down to the local shop and buy a small dense Dutch posy of flowers that cost an arm and leg, I can forage (with thanks to garden and abundance of flowers of course) and make big garden bouquets like this!

The time arrived to finally find myself a van // the small hire company I’d been using for a decade closed shop this year so I decided it was time to get my own // been driving all over Fife today collecting heaps from and site visits and just arriving at the studio to start some work in the sunny breeze // what do we think about painted huge florals all down one side? 😉

Steph and her amazing hanging tropical leaf wall - iv known this beauty of a person since I was 5 and when we were talking wedding flowers I came up with a wall made of huge leaves to separate a seating area and make an interesting statement and the two of us squealed and danced at this idea and how awesome it was gonna be… and it totally was!! 🤍

Bluebells // i was in the garden i heard bluebell ring
standing there alone a lonely little thing // ringing out his tune so gentle and so sweet such a pretty tune it made me tap my feet // a lovely melody like a symphony standing in my garden he played his song for me.
