We had the pleasure of doing some beautiful work for in my home town last month, and honestly I really enjoyed making pieces at a slower pace! I don’t realise how fast I work until I’m able to slow down and realise that iv had to work at such a fast pace for so many years due to timings and freshness of our structures needing to be done on the day… this was a dream to work on and so wonderful meeting such beautiful people along the way 🥰 …(more photos of another beautiful installation to follow for )

Starting January 1st we will be changing our prices and minimum spend for weddings in Tupelo Tree // it’s been about 7 years since iv truly updated my prices and with the ever changing world of weddings, we need to reflect our costs to suit this // so if you’re wanting to get in touch to book us, the changes start January 1st - which means if you book before then, you’ll book within the current prices we have in place after a deposit has been secured🍂

This time of year I rely heavily on my cosymajig hot water bottle warmer (this isn’t an add I just really love this product!) // especially now iv developed arthritis in my hands this is ever better for working with flowers in the cold, keeping my wee belly cosy too. Highly recommend for those cold people out there ❤️

Spent my night in the Tupelo Tree van exploring Pitlochry and building little cairns // safe to say I won’t be sleeping in the van again soon without 12 more hot water bottles! // a little lull before another beautiful job and catching up on admin and zoom calls, entering the second half of my work year where wedding slow down for the year and admin days are more often ✏️ but have someone exciting to introduce to Tupelo Tree from next month so watch this space…

Following on the autumnal vibes, a beautiful wee piece I made for a friend with some pretty oranges and browns looking so beautiful in the late afternoon light // I remember my lovely friend Barbara from describing a wedding she did with all the tones of yellow and she used words like buttermilk and honey to describe colours and it sounded so romantic 💕 I adore a vivid description like this!

As autumn slowly starts to turn, I’m reminded of this really beautiful shoot I styled and photographed (and flowered of course) alongside (genuinely the best makeup artist around - seriously, brides if you’re looking, check her out!) with some floral dresses I picked up in town and foliage I’d foraged in a woodland nearby. I wanted the models to look alike which made for a really beautiful feel and I’m still super pleased with these photos🍁🍂

Christmas times 10 getting a massive box of ribbons from // I normally do one huge order a year which lasts me throughout the entire wedding season and Christmas, opening my ribbon drawer is one of my favourite things, getting to pick out ribbons to match my designs, and I love a daring bride who likes a few lengths of deep ochre or botanical printed silk🌿 // honestly I adore these ribbons so much!

Anda + Scott // yknow when you meet people in life that you resonate with, that you connect with, and then you get to make their wedding flowers and you feel like a magical being amongst the hills of Carrick Castle, creating clouds of florals and seeing people dance in the wet grass together - this is what wedding dreams are made of! Congratulations you guys!!
