Valentine’s Night with Alexia Gardner & Band ❤️
Some artists just ‘have it’ and tonight the amazing ‘Alexia Gardner Quintet’ most certainly did..
Fronted by the remarkable voice of Alexia Gardner, who ‘had’ the audience from the first minute.. she was just incredible & was aptly supported by the amazing band, all of who had many memorable moments.
A set list of love themed jazz mixed in with some old classics, all performed in their own style..
Wonderful audience who loved every second of it..
We’ll be seeing you again sometime

From Siberia to Stanley…
The White Room was treated to a stunning performance today when the fantastic Max popped in & played us a few wonderful instrumentals, including an incredible ABBA track & this lovely original song..
Max is originally from Siberia but now lives here in the north east.
We hope you call in again very soon young man..

Stripped back Sunday…
As it was quiet for tonight’s gig with Lawrence & Jacqui, we thought an intimate unplugged set by the new barrels, with everyone sitting close up & the warm ambient lighting around, would make the perfect setting…
We think it was just lovely & the natural room acoustics helping make it sound just wonderful
Might just have stumbled upon a new favourite thing!

Stunning night of original music performed by the hugely wonderful & talented trio of George Lamb, Phil Caffrey & Pat McMahon.
A lesson in the art of song writing & performance tonight for all budding singer songwriters..
The three of them on stage together improvising & joining in with each others songs was a joy to watch.

This gig was part of the Independent Venue Week which I’m delighted to be part of.
Amazing turn out for a cold Thursday night in Stanley too & everyone who came enjoyed a stunning set of original music from Dean & the lovely Lauren Barnes too
Amazing musicianship & vocals throughout the evening & such wonderful atmosphere too in the venue made it even more of a memorable night

Mitch Laddie Band
Well, our 2nd gig of the year & another sold out show which is incredible & such a boost for the venue
This time the amazing Mitch Laddie Band took centre stage & absolutely nailed it.
The band were on fire with everyone on top of their game, playing a predominantly original setlist with songs from all stages of their back catalogue including some wonderful new songs, performed for the 1st time here at The WR.
